Been told theres a sky set about for 500e and NO monthly ????

Ive uploaded some photos that were taken in january. I know they are a little out of date but they are a view as to what the insides are like, pool, and the park area. Hope you like them.

They are under the date of 29.03.07

Ive also spoken to our solicitor today and they have informed me that the price of electric and water connection comes to 540euros. Just thought I would let you know.

I would have preffered the normal window but I dont think there is much we can do about it as the apartments get lower as they go along and by the looks of it the top floor apartments get another step to compensate that which takes more room from our patio wall. hence the longer window.( I will send you a picture).

I asked a company to measure up for our security grills last week and they told me that it was just mine and yours that have this window, but if you look at photo 2 from the pictures dated 24.march.07 on that picture ours are on the left & right hand side of the third set  of stairs going from left to right. Now look at the window on the apartment to the left of the first set of stairs on the same picture & it looks like that apartment has the same window as ours.

I think you are right, when we were over in Feb I didn't see the others. The windows are the same width as the others though, we did measure them when we were there. We think they let in more light into the living room so we are OK with it.

Who did you get to quote for the grills, was it a recomendation? And if you don't mind me asking what did you ask them to quote for (front/back and windows/doors?)?

Hi Brian

The grill company was recomended to me by Pete & Val that live on phase 2.

They are an irish company based in Los Montesinos. I asked them for 2 quotes.

The first for 2x front windows, 1x double door grill for the back bedroom, & 1x door & window combination for the kitchen, this quote came to 1,540.00 euros.

The second quote was for 2x front windows, 1x kitchen window( no door ), & 1x concertina door grill for the back bedroom, this qoute came to 1,195.00 euors.

They said it takes 7 working days to supply and fit, so im going to shop around and make my mind up when I get there in july.

Thanks for that John, didn't expect it to be that much. I wonder if a Spanish company would be more competative?

Hi Brian,

Just to let  you know that we got a quote from a Spanish guy in Orihuela first and the price was the same as the one were quoted from the one we used.

Sorry, forgot to mention in the last reply that the grills we have are powder coated and not painted so are less likely to need maintenance in the future.

If you are shopping around just remember to compare like for like.
