barri, What is the point of the water feature? Are we right in assuming it doesn't even have a fountain to add some character to it! SD 😎

why not turn the water feature into a fun pool, a few slides etc, I know it would need to be managed but if they fenced it off and charged to use it could make a few quid.

We had plans to do something similar which the banks initially thought was great but after the "so called meetings" they felt it wouldnt be safe and would be too noisy ! We are still fighting to bring this to AL Kasars - we feel it would be good for everyone

Build a pontoon with a coffee shop / bar in the middle andhave four bridges going to each side.
Or just stick a few fountines in to to break it up a bit, those water jets that fire columns of water around look good.
But I doubt that IRM will be spending any money.

I think slides etc in the lake would be a nightmare to keep an eye on ...an accident waiting to happen! But a feature of some sort in the water...little motorised boats...would it be deep enough??

Model boat racing up and down would keep the kids amused. there were a few kids that did it last yaer but the joy police came and stopped them.

Hi. Not overly qualified to comment really as we have only just begun the buying process to join the community but in the spirit of the thread, how about the following for the water feature; An Arabian themed pirate ship filled with ball pits, slides, bouncy areas, ropes, etc for children to play in while parents enjoy the bars and restaurants around Al Kasar. Kids love that stuff and it's pretty safe. Floating eating/dining platforms for 6 or 8 people where the local bars and restaurants could serve guests. They have these in Turkey and are so relaxing to spend a few hours in the evening. A central stage area to put on community entertainment, bands, disco, etc, or even have a big screen for movie nights or big sporting events. Anyway, just a few suggestions To throw out there but can't wait to come and enjoy what is already there :)

Hello Condado people . We stayed on Condado a few times with a view to purchase and last year took the plunge and purchased on Camposol . Hope to come over to Al Kazar in June to see whats going on. We would love a GYm on Condado as Camposol dosnt have one . If anyones interested in seeing more info/photos about "whats available" nearby on Camposol ( 10 Mins Drive ) I have loaded Lots of Photos on the recently produced "Camposol forum" which is new. I must admit we found a lots more facilities than we expected and some might to useful as we would have used these when we stayed at Condado ... What I like most about Campo is the variety of bars and best of all Low Low drink prices !
Our Rental car at the Parking area in Camposol had screen leaflet advertising transport FREE To and from Al Kazar .. but they will have to do someting about the bar prices ..... 2.5 Euro for Pint and a Half Lager is standard Happy Hour in most bars at C. Maybe a continuous Mini Bus service both ways would be well received . ??

very interesting post but have used both and don't think you can compare the 2 as so different!
Camposol useful in the beginning but quality also counts.
Think that more people go to Condado than other way around for night out now hence the Camposol bars getting together to see how they can stem the flow!

As Leigh says we have a fully functional gym on Condado since December...2 of the squash courts have been converted at the Condado Club. Daily/ casual rate of 5 Euro. weekly rate of 15 Euro and monthly rate of 25 Euro.

A happy hour would be a great idea??? Camposol is great and if there were a FREE minibus I am sure loads would use it...interesting point about Camposol bars getting together to stem the flow of punters....is this fact or an urban myth like the cats who hover over the pools and defecate them???

Take it you didnt understand our posts - we have accepted we wont get a unit anymore as we are unable to do the ideas we wanted to do so another unit wont make any difference if we arent allowed to do the ideas we wanted to do and its not a question of paying the rent either - its all about being allowed to open up with the business ideas you want to do and not what the bank say you can do !! because other business are scared you will take their business off them
All we have been trying to do is find out why we have been lied to and stopped doing what we wanted to do, and we will not let it go until we have answers as it all seems to be under hand whats going on - neither the banks or the estate agents will give answers so what does that tell you !
Does everyone on Condado want a thriving business community or are you all happy to be dictated to as to what can be opened up there by the rest of the businesses?
People wouldnt accept the presidents of the gardens controlling what happens so why should we let the businesses control what happens at Al Kasars ?

WRONG its the other way round Chaddyowl . Never wanted to get into arg about that but remember masses of facilites in local bars at Campo many use these facilites just as good quality at Condado but more choice and lower prices . We should know as weve had several weeks at both Urbanisations.
Maybe we should "Twin the Towns "
Point on " Buisness Rates" being shy high in Al Kazar so undertand why bar prices are high.

First of all you have your figures wrong - where did you get this information ? we were in talks but this wasnt the price discussed. Looking at the business in question if there were 60 tables on the terrace, which there was last year, taking 100 euros a night per table, this adds up to 180,000 euros a month they are taking. The figures we discussed were a very very small percentage of this so no reason for them to be a tad mad !!! If they had the use of our terrace we would have to be closed to allow for the space to be used
So are you telling us its this business that is the one stopping us from opening up, and dictating to the banks what can and cant be opened ?
Secondly they didnt want the terrace so there were no problems with this and we have this in writing
Thirdly this has no bearing on not being allowed to open the original ideas we had
If you had a business unit you would know the contract stipulates that the business owner has the sole use of the terrace (this was in our contract) and not the neighbour - he may have been using it previously but this does not give him the right to continue to use it when the unit is occupied by new people, however he has said he doesnt want to use it as there are more restaurants opening
We dont know who you are but seeing as you seem to know alot maybe you can answer the questions we have asked the banks ?
