Multi trip holiday insurance

Has anyone who has Aldea as their lawyers, asked them about compensation.  When ever I mention it to them they dont want to discuss it.  Assuming that the building restarts in Sept, as I am on Manzana 10 I reckon it will be approx Jan 08 when I get the keys.  The original date was Jan2006!  I would not be surprised if they try to get out  of paying anything by saying it wasnt their fault.

We have Aldea as our solicitors. We have had an interview with them at their office in Vera. After over 2 years we asked to cancel our contract in January . Aldea say they passed this request to Huma but havent received a reply. They promissed to reiterate our request. Two weeks nothing heard? We are now investigating hiring a prosecuting solicitor and going for full refund, interest  and compensation. ps Parador office in Vera is permenently closed???

I think the reason Huma expect not to pay any compensation if we decide to pull out (obviously after the 2 year period as stipulated in your contract, so Huma are in breach)  is that a few people have walked away with their 1st installment, not even insisting on getting their 3000 deposit back.  To be honest, I think some consider it a lucky escape, so they're not making a huge fuss.

Whatever Huma tell you, they are liable for compensation. They knowingly sold this project without having been granted full and final approval.

 They just know that most of us are nervous of taking Huma through the Spanish courts.  So let's all get together.  Just a suggestion.

Huma have told me that they still have not decided what form of compensation will be given if buyers do wait for their properties to be built!  Which seems highly disorganised to me as Huma has had enough time to figure it out, surely?

HI everyone.

Iwrote to my solicitor psi consultants in vera to ask what money we would could expect to get back if we cancelled this is the reply we received we would be grateful of any comments on this letter please.The letter goes as follows.

We have been advised by Claudia Escudero at Huma that clients who wish to cancel will be able to once the contract  has  reached the due date (including the 6 months delay period).  She has advised that return payments will be made,though if you will require interest/compensation this request would have to be submitted to their lawyers.  In order to cancel, the original contract has to be returned to them and we suggest this is done in person as they have advised the the cancellation agreement will be done at that point  (it is important not to send the original contract back to them by post as this is your proof of purchase).  We can only pursue this on your behalf if we have Power of attorney.
