I managed to gain access (your internet settings needs to allow a pop-up window - usually you have a yellow banner across the top telling you it has blocked a pop-up and do you want to allow it).
Nothing on the site except a copy of the brochure we have already had.

I received a phone call last night from my agent saying that if we log into the Almanzora web site we will see 2 new letters that have been posted. This apparently states that the licences have been passed and no more approval is required - Huma said to him that they will commence building within 2 weeks, however, my agent suggest more like a month!!! I am not holding my breath and have not yet looked at the web site myself, but I will be doing. Fingers crossed - AGAIN!!!

I have just been into the site and there is new info to look at especially a document date 23 Feb . Looks like things could be moving, but its full of jargon which I cant understand. If anyone wants to use my username it 451662528 Password teG931x5.

Lots of waffle and jargon.......not forgetting the small print that says the plans aren't guaranteed and can change, but nothing that actually says building will start. Anyone can say that licences have been passed and work will start (Step forwards our Parador rep) but until something actually happens, I would n't pay much attention to anything that either Huma or Parador, or any other agent, says.

Hear what your saying but now finally documents stamped by the Junta are starting to appear and be talked about. And crucially the 5 months from the approval meeting sounds like its going to be comuted to "as soon as" rather than the useual wait.

I've no doubt that work will start, there's too much of the site that's been built and the equipment is still on site. But I'd only believe whats on a piece of paper once work actually re-starts. There's been a lot of false dawns

Hi
IMRI emailed the link suggesting we take a look but couldnt get on there because we dont have a username and password. Marilyn came to the rescue - just used your username and password Marilyn, thank you!! I have to say that after reading through it all, we are feeling more positive and reassured. It certainly looks good and very positive. When it happens, all the hassle will be forgotten and we can get on with enjoying our properties and the facilities at ACC. I'm sure there will be a few teething problems to start with but we're thinking its gonna be fab!! Its already the third week of March so May is not far away and we can all breathe a sigh of relief (God, I hope so) when building starts again. We're going over in June and will take a trip to ACC to see how things are coming along. If anyone knows how to get your own username and password for Huma can they please let me know.

i have totally given up on this project. I got my 40,000 back and have invested in another country, but i am now wondering where i stand legally, can they make me go ahead with this as i signed a contract in October 2005. I have no solicitor as I sacked them for lying - Aldea if anyone is interested.
Can i walk away, i have lost heart and 3,000, but i think a small price to pay.
If anyone could advise me I would be grateful.

Hi
With regards to my 40,000 I found out that my solicitor had not released the funds to Huma. It was only when I found this this site 18 months ago and discovered that building work had stopped that I contacted Aldea. They confirmed that building work had stopped and they still had my money which they had not handed over to Huma. They believed that they were acting professionally by doing this but I would argue that they should have informed me of that the work had stopped.
After many enquiries I confimed that building work had stopped with no help from Aldea or Parador. It took many phone calls to them and a lot of screaming down the phone (I am ashamed to say) demanding my money back, that they eventually refunded the money back into my account. I never received any bank guarantees, so I would say I am one of the lucky ones.
Hope this is of help.
Tracy

we too bought in 2004,with the recomendation of parador, and of course aldea, what a team?we signed papers to pull out in december last year, and yes, you guessed it ,not a penny has been returned to us,now we are having to pay yet another solicitor to try and get it back,
if like us anyone was stupid enough to pay parador for after sales care, demand it back,we got ours within a few days of asking, only so they could get rid of us,

Are you going to tell us where you heard that piece of information Lavenderblue? I'm sure it won't have come from HUMA. Or are you just out to upset and worry people? This message was last edited by paulg on 4/18/2007.
