Wealth Tax Allowance

Hi All

As some  of you are , (if you'll excuse the expression), OLD HANDS in the Spanish property buying game. Could you recommend a lawyer to use for our purchase ?

We we're recommended one by the agents we used for the property search, but, as we don't know anyone that has used them, perhaps you could offer some advice on this matter, before we make the important decision of who to use.

The TV programmes keep banging-on about not using  IN-HOUSE legals, recommended by agents etc. and to try to find someone who has already had the experience with an established, Spanish/English speaking lawyer !

Any advice will be accepted gratefully.

I looked on the www.halifax.es site, they have a panel of English speaking solicitors who are independent of the agents and developer. I am using Imont Legal Services who seem to be OK, they kept me well informed over Christmas when they received my deposit to pay to San Jose. As I was away from home, at the time, they sent me several text messages to confirm everything was in order. My first face to face meeting with them is on Tuesday 17 April, will be able to form a stronger opinion about them then.
