To the owner of 7, 22, 11.
Do you rent your apartment to just anyone ? Our last holiday in an adjoining apartment was a horrendous nightmare. The bumping, banging and crashing sounds of two restless and loud children playing into the early hours was exhausting.
Do you know your tenants are never told about the community rules? This is twice now I have spoken to your tenants about community rules – of which they were completely unaware.
What’s more your recent occupants repeated response was “This is Spain !”, the implication being no one takes any notice of any rules there. And also they would be departing in a few days – which was the same date as our flight home.
On the first night the parents talked on the balcony until 1 am despite my polite requests for silence. Only when I started to video record them did they retreat indoors.
On the second night we finally, after discussion, got them to respect the balcony rule but they explained that their children could not be controlled without beating them and that would result in even more noise.
They went on to mention that the apartment was made available in a disgustingly filthy state with cat hairs everywhere.
The family wanted to rent a small villa and had expressed concern to your letting agent about the unsuitability of the apartment with two noisy children. It seems it was the only rental that could be made available to them out short notice with minimal administration delay.
So we returned home exhausted and in need of a rest.
Please can you ensure all your future tenants are made aware of the community rules and are asked to respect them?
p.s. it sounded as though your place may be taking some accellerated wear and tear.
