John and I had been on far too many viewing trips before we visited Santa Ana del Monte and it was by far the best development we had come across. We loved the area and spent a week in Jumilla before we committed ourselves to buying. We also thought the Azucena was by far the best property we had seen within our budget.
Make sure you have a bank guarantee if you haven't already got one, then enjoy the roller coaster of buying off plan! 
We last visited the development earlier this month, and it was reassuring to see all the workers, lorries, concrete mixers and cranes there. I also think it is a good thing that San Jose wait to have each licence before progressing, even if it is frustrating for us.
I don't know how many fellow buyers are on this Forum, but I do recognise lots of the names and it is good to come along new ones! There is another forum (which will remain nameless, Justin!) which is dedicated to Santa Ana del Monte and there are 271 members on it, most of whom are fellow buyers so far as I am aware, so that does give you some indication of the interest. Don't forget that less than 50% of buyers are British, and I don't think I have seen any posts from Spanish buyers (who probably aren't worrying at all as they know the system well!) or other nationalities.
