Karen,
I was out on the site early May and went up to the site on the Saturday, not a soul to be found or seen, this enabled me to get right onto the site and walk around freely but carefully.
Keith110’s recent photos show the show houses now with walls, it would be nice to see more photos of the progress made and even internal photos if you get the opportunity.
Yes it is becoming more exciting as we start to see some sight of an actual building. Have a great time and look forward to seeing your photos.
PS. Thanks Keith110 for those recent pictures of the show house with the walls up, they did lift my wife and I. Hope you don’t mind I have added them to my personal album on the web.
Our morale could so easily be positively maintained if only Clayton Ges would post more photos and information on the site on a more frequent basis. I am so pleased to see this forum is becoming more upbeat and more supportive for one another. It is up to us to deliver the support we all need via all the updates and photos.
Thank you to all who are active within this forum.
Regards.
Ro.

Hi Everyone, nice to see we are now getting more positive about our investments. I agree with what you are saying about not enough info coming from the developer, hence this morning I have had a long chat with the girl in the sales department of Cleyton Ges and this is what they had to say. They agree that it is necessary to give more regular updates on the progress of the site and now construction is underway they intend to do so, up until recently all of the works have been underground and repetitive but apparently this has now been completed on the earlier phases. The show house is now making good progress and the foundations for the houses situated in the first part of phase one are now due to start . They intend to update the progress report in the very near future and then continue with six weekly updates including photo's. I look forward to the next report with interest. James.

Hi Ro
No problem with adding the photos to your album.
After all the earlier worries on the forum with postings regarding planning permissions, ecologists, delays etc..........I think it is great that we all now have reason to feel upbeat and positive about the whole project. Hopefully, if all goes according to plan, by next summer (2008) some of the first plots on Phase 1 should be completed and there will actually be families living at Finca Parcs!
But of course we have to be realistic and accept that it is a massive project and there may still be a few more delays to come. From an investment point of view this would not be too much of a worry because as you know prices went up on 1st April 2007......And the Esther house type, even without the benefit of a show house, has virtually sold out (apart from a few plots on Phase 1), so who knows where the prices may reach in 2010 when the project is (hopefully) completed.
I have been told that there is due to be an official Progress Update on the Finca Parcs website within the next few weeks.............
Keith

Try www.fincaparcs.com and click on Parcs News, there was a progress report in July and another one due any time now according to my agent, apparently there has been great progress on the site during the past month but unfortunately due to health and safety issues and people just wondering around the site unaccompanied the construction company have banned all visits until the show house is finished and opened to the public next month. Hello Everyone, I have had a long chat this evening with the manager of the managment company, they seem to have a lot to offer and are making great efforts to be able to have the suppliers of all essential services on board before the completion of the first phase. They are going to send me one of their brochures plus we have requested an appointment to view the furniture packs next time we are in the area and also have asked for estimates for air con as I believe the houses come with central heating standard but no air con. . They have launched a website detailing all of the services they are able to offer , I noticed they also have a direct link on the Town and Country website. I didnt think we would ever come to the stage where we would be thinking about furniture, its getting quite exciting now. Regards to you all Biddy

Hi, I have sent you a private email with contact details, I didnt want to get into trouble with the site owners by giving out commercial details. there is also a direct link to them on the Town and Country Finca Parcs site, I received the details direct from my agent earlier in the week so maybe you need to ask your agent why they have not informed you of the contact details for Finca Valley. We have already received lots of very useful infromation and a brochure from them. Biddy

Looking forward to my next visit. Taz

Hi all just back from a site visit. Progress is fantastic almost unrecognisable from a year ago when I was last out. The show home looks fab, the fit and finish is top quality there are a few snags but they have already identified them and will put them right in the other houses. But overall it looks really good.
I have posted some up to date pictures, shame it was wet, but you can't have everything. My only concern is the schedule. Aparently the first phase release starts in August, and even though there are alot of house up, they are far from finished. Let's hope Dragados have a few extra workers to throw at the site.
Also they tell me the site is 65% sold so still a reasonbable number available.
If you are buying and in any way concerned about your purchase from the evidence I have seen we have gotten ourselves a quality product in a great area!

Hi,
Many thanks for posting the information about your site visit and the photos. The showhouse looks tremendous and I think you're right about the build quality and location - both outstanding! In these uncertain economic times we all need some reassurance that we are backing a winner from time to time.
As estimating the finishing times for our properties is important to all of us, I'm quite interested about your comment relating to the schedule; did you manage to get any information as to how far behind the handover of phase one will be or do you have your own opinion?
Kind regards,
Jeff

Hi Jeff
The site agent Maria said as far as the developer is converned they are holding Dragados to the contract. So she was giving nothing away officially. The comments on progress are only mine and based on what I saw. There has been a huge advancement since I was there 13 months ago, but as I said there is not one as far as as i could see, house other than the show home, anywhere near finished. For an August hand over I would have expected to see a section rendered, a section ready for interior fittings etc. But please note I am no builder this is just my opinion, I am sure they have a plan to keep to committed dates.
Also I forgot to mention the area around the river has been cleared with what looks like new planting put in it loks wonderful, and the area just outside of Agramon was lush and green. Oh and finally there is a little bar in the first village south of the development, I think we may all be having one or two colds ones in there before the commercial center opens.
Cheers all.
