Hi guys, just got sent our plans for our villa along with the road structure they want us to sign asap however we are a bit mad that it looks like we are going to be getting a nice big smelly bin next to our villa!!  Can someone please verify if rsu is a bin site?? We have asked an old spanish friend of ours who say it is but would like more comments. Are we being too fussy how would you all feel? Is anyone else in the same situation?

Cheers and look forward to your responses

Sarah and Brent

This is why we are asking because we dont really know - on the plan next to our villa there is a road with car parking spaces and amongst the spaces is a big space with RSU, which we think could be refuge - just need some enlightening?

Afraid I can't really help although Linda Needham may know if the abbreviation for rubbish collection is RSU.   These things have to go somewhere but  of course nobody wants it on their doorstep.

 los residuos sólidos urbanos (RSU),

Urban Solid Remainders, perhaps.  I think you might be right.  Unfortunately.

Hi

I have a casa at Guardamar Del Segura, I don’t know if the same will apply at Jumilla. At designated areas around our urb there are large wheelie bins (best description) and people put there rubbish in them. There could be two or three, as some sought of recycling goes on. The bins are emptied on a daily basis, so they don’t get to smelly.  Hears the bad part, the collection is around 5am!

Something to remember the council won’t collect until habitation certificates are in place, so the builder has to supply a skip! People at Pinet are still on skips after three years!

Hope this helps

Cargic

I don't think many of us will be completing until licences of habitation are in place. Are you saying at Pinet people have moved in  and are still waiting for habitation licences after 3 years?

We have spoken to amba sun who said that sj had to put the rsu somewhere on the plans but it is not definite where they are going as the civic amenities decide and not sj.

Hi Taxiparrots.  El Pinet development comes under Elche Ayuntamiento.  There are problems with the development as a whole because part of it has been built on what is protected land and therefore habitation licences are being with held until they sort it out.  I am not sure if  SJ's part of the development is in the protected area or not but just the fact that there is an issue is enough to prevent the Ayuntamiento issuing any habitation licences until it is sorted.
