I'm one of the frustrated few still waiting to complete on our apartment. It's an issue with the 'urbanistic charge' according to my solicitor. My understanding is that it's dragging on due to the ineffeciencies of the 'local council' rather then the developer or MLH. It would seem to make sense.

Is anyone else having the same issue or can anyone shed any light on the topic? Please feel free to email me privately.

Also has anyone had dealings with Martin Cowling at 'Costa Home Furnishing'? If so how did you find him to work with?

We haven't completed yet, but I've never heard of an "urbanistic charge" issue? What is it?!

I've only heard negative things about Martin Cowling and Costa Furnishings. I think there are much better options if you want a package, eg Imperial, RNA Home Decor, Galeria (on the N340), Interior Sun gets a lot of positive comments - have a look at the General Forums under the "Furnishing your property" section. At this time of year and depending on what you want, you need to bear in mind that almost all factories in Spain close for all of August, so if you need to order things and want them before August, it needs to be done now! there's an Ikea in Seville and one due to open later this year in Malaga.

i also havent heard of an urbanisation charge, i only completed last month, i think there was some delay getting individual registered title numbers from the town hall. regards furniture whilst i havent sorted mine yet i seem to have gone around every furniture place. if you have time use different people for their specialist activities.ie curtains and linen, a good shop to supply and fix in sabinillas, i think imperial do the best furniture and ther is a local lady who has a show apartment at majestic hills www.sweet-solutions.net

We are about to complete. We were at CDS last week to do the snagging (everything done, thanks Mandy and Miguel) and see our lawyer who has never mentioned this charge.

As for furniture, I can reccommend Interior Sun. Uwe and Debby have been very accommodating with us.
