We have just returned this morning from Casares the sun was shining and all the snagging on our two apartments had been completed after our last visit at Easter. The finishing touches were done to our furnishings and thanks once again to Steve from Paintbusters who sorted our air con installation (if only everything over the last months had run as smoothly as dealing with Steve would highly recommend him and thanks to others who recommended him - you were right). So we could enjoy our week this time, and it is a really great place now we have overcome the hassles.
The pool area near block 13 was lovely and guess what on 1st June the sun beds arrived, plus our lifeguard (just a little English) and the gardeners were there sorting the positioning of the sprinklers and they were all working. The gardeners were cutting the grass (albeit there is no grass in places). And what was so nice is there were families enjoying the pools and some were even holiday renters - and yes they said they loved it and would come again. The garages in block 13 and block 15 were working and the underground area is beautifully clean and well lit. The pool in front of block 15 needed some attention (it was a bit dirty at bottom) and no sun beds arrived there. When we left at 6.30 this morning we saw the security guard walking round.
The surrounding area is great. Sabinillas has such a nice beach front and there are some great restaurants. The taxi firm is now down at the garage as well as in the square were doing great business for Casares, there were several up there every evening and at 7 euors great if you want to have a drink. We had heard the golf club restaurant was opening to public this week but we tried and it wasn't. I met a great family from Ireland who are out for a month at a time and in between other family members come - but they didn't know about EoS - they don't use the internet (its easy to forget not everyone has access) but they will be there for the AGM. So all in all we thought it was great. If we can sort the gardens it will be even more of a pleasure to go there. Can't wait for our next visit - we'll be there for AGM.
