I have now sent a total of 11 emails to Ammex requesting codes etc to log into their website. This has been going on since January but I still haven't had codes emailed to me as promised. We are in Block 13. Has anyone else had this problem? Or can anyone suggest what I could do?

We have had the same experience. Details sent 5 or 6 times and today they email me asking for details so they can send codes. I mail them again only to get it back undelivered. Where are we going with these clowns.

To date I have paid AMMEX over 1,200 euros for community charges ( Block 8) and was disappointed my family could not even use the swimming pool when we came over for our holidays (I won't mention the very basic looking gardens). I have emailed them several times asking for codes etc with no response. Any suggestions from anyone as to the next step to take to get a response?

I received codes from Ammex to access their website without having to ask - that's the only posittive thing I can say about my experience with them I have requested informtion from them in the past by email and this, together with two follow-up emails were ignored. It sounds just like how Interlaken are treating snagging requests.
GET RID OF THEM!

Copy of message sent to Marjoleine the owner Ammex through their coded system.
Marjoleine
It has come to my attention that many owners who have completed and have sent e-mails to Ammex have not been responded to in any way. Many owners are having to communicate on the website Eye On Spain to get basic information that Ammex should be giving.
Can you answer the following:
1 Why are you not responding to e-mails from owners who have completed.
2 How many owners on Casares Del Sol are registered with Ammex.
3 If you do not have these owners registered, will they have a vote at the AGM.
4 Can you send a message to every owner that you have registered, and tell them to check the eye on spain message board in order to enable the owners to communicate as a group and organise a president and committee.
The EOS website address is www.eyeonspain.com
They then need to register and then log onto the community, Casares Del Sol.
yours

Just back on Sunday from CDS. Gardne araes are very poor. I am led to believe that the developer has fallen out with the contractor some time ago in the past and that many (unnecessary) problems have arisen due to that.
I received my notification from Ammex without prompt: my lawyer forwarded my details on. Ask your own for copies of their communication to Ammex. It is always important to lay the blame at the foot of those responsible.
Wishing you luck

We too had no response to about 5 or 6 E-Mails asking for confirmation that they had received our details. In the end I telephoned them, they confirmed the details over the phone and within 3 days I had recieved an E-Mail containing the access codes to their website.

I have accessed the Ammex website and updated my personal details but I am unsure as to whether I am "in" the website as I get a message on the top LHS advising that it is the Ammex Extranet. I have sent an e-mail (to info@ammex.org) about the dangerous drop at the underground garage door end of Block 18 (15 - 20 feet) which would result in the death of a child should they fall over. How can I be certian that I am fully in the web site and how can I chase up progress on my e-mail? All help gratefully accepted.

I have recieved a positive response from an Administrator in the area who is willing to give budget proposals for CDS.
They would like to meet someone on site on the 15th May to ascertain the community needs.
Unfortunately i cant get out then. Is anyone available to meet with them on that date. They will alter the date if needed but time is of the essence. My initial enquiry was based on my area PM2 but it can include other communities.
It would be very interesting to see other budget proposals based on the figures posted recently for PM4. This company comes with a very good reccomendation.

I have also had a response from another possible administrator who is going to meet with us prior to our 1st AGM (PM1) and he is also willing to attend the AGM to advise and maybe give some figures.
It may be that we might be able to ditch Ammex at each AGM then get us all as one community, bring in another administrator who will work for us and the CDS community.
As the last AGM is later in the year it will not take long to start moving forward.

I am in CDS Monday to Thursday next week and will be happy to meet with other administrators and report back. I would need as much input as possible from interested owners so I can ensure that all the relevant issues are discussed. You should be aware that personally I have no view currently on whether Ammex should be replaced in the short term, I feel that until the owners (rather than Interlaken) can formally direct Ammex we can't judge them that well. It is also true that on the financial front we could do with alternative quotes to compare with. Any alternative administrator would have to have some jolly good reference sites of a comparable size, we don't want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire !

I have sent you all the contact details by personal message.
Maybe Brutus can send you details of what Ammex were proposing to do and get you copies of last years budgets.
It would be great if you could meet Kevins contact too if you have time.
By the way, i have had no response whatsoever to my earlier e-mail to Ammex as posted below.

Thanks to Ianmack's letter to Ammex, I have finally received the codes to access the site. Tried the codes and they work so hopefully they have listened and will send them out to all residents that have completed. Cheers!

The name of a potential administrator is Gumersindo Marquez his number is 616 086162 It would be great if you could contact him whilst you are at CDS next week as he may be able to provide some useful information prior to our 1st AGM 1st June.
He has agreed to attend if it assists us to advise, he also speaks good English
Good Luck

Strange we have had codes for website sent twice and on two occasions when I emailed with a question got helpful response overnight. Also when we met Javier at meeting he was very helpful - see post that Jenny wrote up with key points. I felt there was some hope of action and other posts indicate at least gardening underway. We are out agian 25th May and I will be at PM2 AGM. We are block 13 and 15.

Copy of message posted on thread for concerns re meeting 10th April but also has connection with this thread. Lewjan posted on the general forum that they have finally got rid of Ammex. A copy of this i posted under "concerns and agenda for meeting 10th April"
With regard to my posting of 15-4-07 below, i have received a response from Lewjan who has been in Spain for the last month and who owns an apt behind the Esso Station on the Casares roundabout. (Bahia Casares Complex)
1 Ammex were in with the Developer Jale and the community have been trying to get rid of Ammex since the start in 2004 but were unable due to the ownership situation between Ammex and Jale owning 51% of the votes.
2 Eventually the community secured enough votes prior to the AGM to vote off Ammex but Ammex got wind of it and resigned two days before the AGM. A new president and committee was voted in at the AGM, the president being a resident so as to enable him to closely oversee the new proposals they have put in place to sort the complex out to the owners wishes.
3 Ammex revealed at the AGM on closure that there was 20,000 euro's left in the kitty. This money subsequently went missing and the new President is actively persueing this amount.
4 They were charging 10,000 euro's per year for basically not carrying out the owners wishes and this being a much smaller community than CDS. (PM 4 charges were shown as 8,000 for last year)
5 Ammex were very difficult to get in contact with unless it was something they agreed with. If they didnt like the message or proposal they just did not respond! Even visits to their offices in Sabinillas proved a waste of time.
Posted for your views and thoughts.
Ian
By the way i still have had no response to my e-mail regarding the work req from Ammex prior to the AGM under the thread "Ammex Website". I now intend to phone to try and get some response.

I was in Casares Del Sol this week on a quick visit and noticed that the gardens in PM1 are being watered regularly and looking nice but unfortunately the gardens where we are block 13 PM2 had no-one working at them and the token sprinkler system seems to be aimed at one area resulting in huge clumps of grass in some areas and lots of bald patches! I don't really know if it is grass growing at all or weeds. The pool still has no sunbeds, despite numerous emails to Ammex and I was then told by a girl in the Ammex office to "borrow" some from PM1! I went to the Ammex office in Sabinillas and after waiting 45mins to speak to someone I was then furnished with very little information. One thing that I did learn is that a person called "Javier" supposedly knows all about what is happening in PM2 but of course he wasn't in the office. I have been given his phone number, so if anyone wants to try it feel free! On a Spanish phone ring, 669532159 and from UK 0034669532159. We did have a swim in the pool but it was freezing. The cleaners opened it for me and told me it was ok to use. However the Ammex office say it can't be used incase the water hasn't been treated!
My thoughts on my whole Ammex experience, they are rude, they haven't a clue what they are doing, they weren't able tell me what the money was being spent on. They also haven't got all the residents details updated on their system and had the cheek to query whether we had paid or community fees or not. When they realised their error, they hadn't the manners to apologise. We need to GET RID OF THEM!This message was last edited by skt on 5/19/2007.

Please don't borrow beds from other PMs, that won't help inter-PM relationships!!!! We should be working together not starting arguments about sunbed ownership. I can't believe they suggested that!
