Thank you Elaine for posting your letter, I feel it is positive and maybe the licence will be granted as they have mentioned in June. Fingers crossed!  Friends of mine have received a similar letter from their solicitor and he has mentioned that because Arenal have a good name in Spain rather than compromise that they are prepared to refund monies.

We can only wait but I feel both letters do show a flicker of hope that we may start completion this summer.  The Duquesa Regent development was exactly the same, it seemed that they were waiting forever for the licence, and then voila it was granted.

As I have mentioned before better any problems are ironed out now rather than when we have completed.

Alan tried to email you yesterday but it came back returned (have you paid the bill?? )  just to say the euro was rising yesterday you may need to keep an eye on the rates.

Hopefully if the licence is granted by the end of June no one will be pulling out!!  Unless that is the reason they have said maybe by the end of June, otherwise anyone thinking of cancelling will be out of time.

I agree it is sounding more positive than any other information we have received.

I think by the time we get a completion date we will all be so tired we will just want to close or doors!! Only joking the party will take place a date to be confirmed!!!!!

I think the end of June was a little premature but we are hoping to go out sometime this month to see what is going on.

OK, Just to put a smile on all your faces I shall share with you that today is a big day for me.  Alas I did not intend for it to turn out like this.

By the end of the day I shall be housing in my home all of the furniture for Arenal!  Needless to say I really thought that the licence would have been granted and I would be shipping the furniture out to Spain.  So when you are sitting down this evening relaxing think of me living in a funiture store!!  My own fault I know.

I can sympathise with you as we have all new furniture etc in a container since last July when we sold our bungalow.  I also was stupid to think things would happen sooner than later, however it will happen I am sure.  I think the storage people think they are on a good thing taking my money each month, only joking they are great!!!

Laurden it means you can make a few 'bob' putting people up for a few days. Where is it, garage, garden, loft!?
