as we all are aware the end of the long tunnel is nearly on us,

the work should start again in sep and then the building work will be full steam ahead.

i think we all after be careful that they don't just chuck the properties up and make a long wait for all of us just another nightmare .

as reguards to white goods , i think it would be better if we had some sort of meetings in the north , midlands, and south and form a small comittee or one rep for each area to corresponde with each other . i think if we are one voice we would have more say on things that are going to be decided on acc.

i live in doncaster , yorkshire and i no their is quite a few more in and around yorkshire so after the long wait i think we should get  proper conpensation.

Hi - I quite agree, white goods should be the minimum compensation.  Fingers crossed that we are at the end of a very long and stressful road.

air con units or other furnishings should also be on the table when compensation is sort. I agree, bulk negotiations could be best for most people.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:  I think that it'll be a cold day in hell before Huma pay compensation for delays .  But hey!  You don't get if you don't ask

Re. the build quality:  If when your property is completed and it is not up to the standard that you were expecting, you will still be able to cancel the contract due to its late delivery.  Just make sure that you don't give Huma written permission to extend the contract (this could happen if Huma, when work restarts, give you a new completion date, and you sign to say you accept it)

Like the idea of a meeting - count me in on that one.  I seem to have white goods included anyway (don't know how I managed that), so I want more offered.  Furniture package maybe?

I agree wth Mikemate,

At this stage were all being made to look loke complete idiots.   Firstly, we have no date.   This thing being banded about about 'September'......HELLO! WAKKKKKKE UPPPPPPPP! PEOPLE!.....Ok...listen lads,  We were over there on site may last year 2006.   We were promised by the boss on site, that work would resume without question that September.   That was September 2006.    Then the story came about ah well It's in the pipeline,,,Christmas,  then May 2007.   Is it me or is this becoming farmiliar.   At this stage I'm totally disgusted with the lost of them.   two years ago following a heart attack, I put my life savings into this venture.   Soon I will have to back out because the bank has increased its rates.   It was my hope to sell out here and go to start a new life in Spain.   This place was to be my dream.  I have been told by the lawyers Aldea that i have to go to court to sue for the interest for my 60k downpayment over the last 18 months.   One nightmare after another.

I wonder if Pickle is still around or watching...Please come back.

Les

im sorry for you les , i think quite a few people where intending to move to the acc .

the fact is it will start soon and after paying £50,000 two and a half years ago i want something back for the delay .

we could have lost thousands in lost rental, so if we speak with one voice we can have more of a bargining postion with huma.

its not just the white goods i think we could have a say on the lay out of acc .

its looks like the pool or pools will not be enough or big enough.

you may think its pie in the sky but when hundreds of people speak with one voice it sends a big clear message they have to listen

Hi - I am new here, and I have read a lot of your posts over the past hour or so.  We wanted to buy on ACC, but problems were already apparent, so we decided against it.  We bought off plan in 2005  on a development behind Mojacar, and we have just returned from our second holiday there.  We would still be interested in ACC as it is a lovely location,  but I wanted to share an article which was in the Almeria newspaper while I was there.  It is available on line at www.cbnalmeria.com/       You need to go to news at the left hand side, and then go to the last article 'Junta readies alternative to town plans'        I read this as being less positive about getting things through, but others might understand the situation better - so please have a read.

The other thing I think some of you might like to consider.  I have read a lot of times about getting these properties at excellent prices - and you did.  This was one of the big attractions for us.  BUT, property prices  are at best static at the moment, and actually falling in some places.  OUr developer is selling the handful of remaining properties for less than we paid - not by a huge amount, but it demonstrates the slow down in the market.  It may be that now, you could find really, really good bargains, which were not available when you put down deposits on ACC.  The final thing you might find helpful from our experience is that we are now in our property and we love it - of course there are some problems, but that is normal with a new build.  OUr pool is up and running (though the small pool is not - it has a leak), and the gardens are starting to look  lovely.  But is going to be a very long time before the other facilities are ready - and I mean years - take a guess of up to 10.  We are expecting a gym, bars, supermarket etc, but they have not even been started.  There are also rumours that the plans for the developement will change, because of the slow down in demand - some of the land may even be redesigned for affordable housing for locals - there is a huge housing crisis in Spain.

I am not being negative - I honestly am not, and understand those that have fallen in love with the place and want to stick it out - I just want to share the information I have acquired now that I am travelling to the region a bit more often.

Good luck with whatever you decided to do.

Roly2
