For those not in Spain ................

Anyone who has bought property in ACC and is from the south of england i/e somerset or in bristol area.To everyone who are waiting like us it is going to be great when completed.Best things are worth waiting for. Alan

My husband  and  I  live  in Southampton and  I  was born  in  Portishead, Nr Bristol.   We decided to buy  a Donana  in 2005 and  despite  all the  problems and  past frustrations   we are staying  positive  and believe  it  will  be  worth  waiting   for.  Our  solicitors  thinks  we should  hear  some  news towards  the  end  of  May  because of the  elections. 

We  looked  around  the  area quite a  bit before  we chose  ACC  and  nothing  else  we saw competes with  it.    I hope all  the  facilities   promised  will   be  included and  I  am  particularly looking  forward to seeing the  horses.    If  anyone  goes  over  there,  visit  Desert Springs  Golf  Course for  a drink  and  a bite  to  eat.  Its  a lovely  Golf Course  where  all  the  professional  go.      Its  nice to hear  positive comments from other  buyers, keep it coming!

Next time you go try the Wok on the road from Vera Playa to Villaricos above the big new supermarket

Self service and great stir fry In March the price was 9.59 € ..eat as much as you like and busy

oh dear,feel so sad,we have bought on acc,but have very negative thoughts on this build,we have lived in spain for two and a half years,and only just five mins walk from us there are building  that have been stood for five or more years,there are so many builds in spain stood still,and may never get the full go ahead,

find it hard to think anyone would stick with this builder,still trying to get our money back,good luck to all who decide to stick with it,,we are weak,and fighting for our money,,before huma goes bust

Even if Huma go bust, the money gaurantees are with the bank so your money is safe. That is the reason it's a bank gaurantee and not a builders or company's. This is standard practice across the world, not just in the builder world

No problem in you getting out, but don't let this cloud any judgement.

hi alfie,,we just found out that our bank guarantee was renewed last year,and the date was changed to march 2008,(not with our permision)and was kept by the solicitor for safe keeping as it a valuable document, which means that huma can if they so wish hang on till that date to return our money,not good news,we were advised to go pick up this paperwork in person when i rang solicitor(aldea)guess what its been given to builder,,why ?no idea,,surley this document is exchanged for the money,not in our case,so even with the guarantee it,s not plain sailing,

we are taking legal advice on wed this week, with yet another solicitor,will post update,,,hicky

IF you don,t have your bank guarantee by now you wont be getting one!

Parador may tell you different but you wont get one because there are no funds left in the pot ,we have bought 2 properties and only received guarantee,s for the larger ammounts that we have paid when questioned we were told they are still being issued,yet our solicitor told us different.

Huma will only issue more b.gs when the funds come in, like when the devopment gets the go ahead and more properties are sold!!

hi all,as i said we took legal advice yesterday,,all still a bit fuzzy,but here goes ,sacked aldea,as there name says,advisors,,not lawers,they did things we never gave them permision to do,and as we had not been to a nortary to give them power,then all they have done,(or not really done )is of no use,going to nortary in the morning.to give new lawyer power of attorney. after all the phone calls yesterday,even more confused,will know more tomorrow,one thing i did learn.

in spain you have only 5 years to take action from a builder,if anyone intends to wait please look at how long you have been waiting,we have gone over 3 years now,and

taking on board how long things take in spain,we are taking no chances,

thats us not everyone  the same.

apart from this crap,,,,we are living and enjoying spain very much,our son enjoying spanish school,well sort of,apart from homework,he told the teacher our dog ate his book,because he did not do his homework.well done ryan,,another letter YOU MUST COME VISIT ME AT SCHOOL,ryans teacher,,oh god not again
