Have just returned from a really enjoyable 2 wk stay; getting to know the area, the shops & the ventas etc.

Our remaining snagging hasn't been done which is disappointing and I didn't see a single workman on the site during our stay. When I followed this up with MLH I was told all the workmen have been finished until financial resources & outstanding work assessed. No timescales have been attached to this which I find unacceptable.

MLH suggested  that a solicitors letter to IL would be the best course of action. Is anyone else aware of this?

As we've purchased from MLH surely any action would be against them, not IL. Having said that I understand MLH is an off-shoot company of IL.

Gardens looking good on some PMs but definitely not on PM3; there's a distinct lack of trees & grass - can someone give me the latest on the gardeners plans please?

Anyone in PM3 want to discuss forthcoming AGM? We're in block 21. Please send PM

Regards

We have also returned from a pleasant time in Spain but experienced frustration at CDS.  We managed to get our electricity working (had constantly tripped out due to a faulty fridge) after 6 months.  IL have still not sorted out our problem with damp - we are getting this done ourselves at our own expense.

MLH are separate to IL, acting as the seIling agents.  It appears that they pass the list of snags to Miguel Angel (IL) who is supposed to arrange repair.  This is where it breaks down.  We have been promised the moon and stars by Miguel who, we assume, is still on his lunar quest.

IL are penny pinching, trying to maximise their profit.  Miguel's lack of commitment and the state of our 'lush tropical gardens' are testament to this.

We completed 12 months ago with many snags still to be sorted; some are  still outstanding.  Our advice to anyone who has not yet completed is make sure everything is done to your satisfaction before you or your lawyer signs over your money.  If you complete before snags are fixed you will experience frustration, anger, and probably tears - we witnessed this at the MLH office three times during the past 2 weeks.

Good luck!

Trying to get snagging done is a nightmare. WE spent 1 week there and in 3 attempts Miguels Angel and his team failed to carry them out, Lots of promises, but little action  and the repairs that were done were just superficial and short term.

I now get a shoort email from a Jill telling me that Interkaken might have flooded my storage room, but wont tell me how or when this miight have happened annd what THEY intend to do to fix it. This is  the type of after service you get.

I'm back today from Casares and this was to have been a holiday but apart from some free afternoons and evenings there were still things to be done in our two apartments. However I can report that Miguel and Antonio responded and I got my jobs done. My electricity went off on a Saturday - managed as part circuit was OK so we had lamps but no lights. At the weekend what do you do? Eventually got an electrician Monday - fault was water pouring through a socket in utility when washing machine was on, once this was isolated this great electrician Mark sorted it for me (my expense though). Miguel and Antonio were then on the case and diagnosed a blocked washing machine pipe, once this was sorted the problem was solved. Just letting you know this in case you have a similar problem.

I succeeded in sorting out two other problems in my other apartment - frequent telephone calls seem to do the trick.

But Miguel is now off on his holiday - I wonder what we do at weekends and when he's away - I've just reconciled myself to sorting out (and paying for) my own workmen if its somethign that can't wait. But it really isn't good enough. I guess I could try sending in a bill!

For those who use Cardiff he has left Spain this weekend to return to work in the city.

These minor things aside had a great time and can't wait to get back in 10 days time for long weekend, Erica

I've just had an e-mail from the site office stating that it is closing at the end of this month. Anyone with outstanding snagging might wish to contact them before they close ...

Contacted site office today; advised to follow up snagging issues direct with IL from October.

We're reluctant to do this, we purchased from MLH, surely the obligation is still with them. What does everyone else think - there's still the MLH UK office?
