Glad we're keeping you amused Pink Bubbles. We've had a lot of positive feedback. Soap opera is right. Sometimes life here on Arenalado makes Eldorado look like a classic TV drama!

Haven't been on here for a while and their seems to be a lot of angst. It does make me laugh. I received a lot of negative responses to the detailing of my experiences on the holiday truths forum at the time I was purchasing on Phase 1. I wonder what those that criticised me are now thinking as most were from later phases? Still, it could be a hell of a lot worse. It could be me that's going through it :) Instead, my apartment is well-finished and after nearly 2 years of constant ownership the stresses have long gone. It's worth it in the long run folks. All the hassle we had is long forgotten. Just looking forward to the pitch and putt course being completed (come on, it's not a proper golf course, but it looks like a good test of the short game).

Oliverson,
How we've missed you. You made reading the Holiday Truths forum worthwhile. I bet you don't know how often you've been the subject of conversation recently.
What goes around comes around!
Welcome back.

Thats good news Babe. Its nice to hear that things are moving and there is some progress on phase 4. Does anyone have info about the club house and thenew gym near phase 1. I believe they are putting in a commercial center also, which will be useful. Still hoping that block 4 will be ready in February 08.
Babe I have sent you a pm.

All the major snags were sorted out (eventually). There are some 'issues' but we can live with them. The more time I spend in this country (UK), the more I appreciate the Spanish way of life and relaxed attitude. At times it feels like the whole of the UK is going to explode!
Regards the tennis, I'm tired of waiting for proper courts at Arenal (don't fancy a b4stardised version they call paddle tennis), so I'm joining a local club. Anybody who likes proper tennis will be amazed to hear about a facility that is about 10 mins drive from Arenal Golf. It's called Lew Hoeds (he was a famous tennis player back in the 50's. An australian who won Wimbledon and a few other grand slams. Check him out on wikipedia. Retired to Fuengirola and opened up this beautiful complex http://www.tennis-spain.com/. The membership is very reasonable (by UK standards) and it's in several acres of botanical gardens. Social tennis on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday night. They do 'part year' memberships as well (3 months, 6 months) as well as a full year. just a shame I'm cr4p at the game (only joking - I'm not THAT good).
As for Golf, you're spoilt for choice. My favourite courses are La Cala (near Mijas) and Santana (near La Cala !). What an experience it is playing these courses. Views to die for (especially La Cala). At a time when the UK golfers are putting their clubs in the garage, I'll be winging my set of Mizuno's out for the winter period. The season there has, in the words of Karen Carpenter, 'only just begun'.
Adios.
