My wife and I are near to completion on our apartment at the brisa del mar development near formentara . This being the case we are pondering on how we are going to furnish the place. There are three ways we can do it.

1. have a company deliver a furniture pack that will fully furnish the place. They would erect everything and that would be that.

2.fly out stay in a hotel at first and then shop around after hiring a van and get the stuff ourselves.

3.buy the furniture in the UK sail and drive across and furnish it that way.

option 1 I would say would be the more expensive option to take. I would imagine that option 2 and 3 would roughly cost about the same. Has any body got any tips for us about the way in which they furnished their home and the cost implications ?

are there any good furniture stores in the Costa Blanca that wont costa packet  that we dont know about? Any assistance would be welcome.

we are in E on the 2nd floor and our apartment comes furnished not top quality but its alright to get us started the furniture pack is from Arca and when we visited  they were very helpful if we wanted to change anything there is a cost which you can proably buy cheaper elsewhere if you have the time.There is  a couple of furniture shops in Rojales that seem reasonable and they will deliver if you read the Costa Blanca News there are lots of furniture shops that have websites so you can buy online.

there is Ikea in Murcia which is only about 30minutes drive away and if you go into any of the bars there is always people advertising there skills and there is a man with a van, we have a few phone numbers of contacts air con, electrician etc if you need any of these just e-mail me you phone number by private message and i will give you a ring if this can help you.

If I'm not mistaken it looks like we are neighbours. On the plan of the block apartment C is next to E. We are planing to go out to Spain between the 20th (ish) of March 2008 until the 3rd (ish)of April 2008. With regard to the Arca furniture its looking like we will go with that and buy the rest when we get there. We have bought our apartment through Spanishpropertyguide. They have been ok with us to date.

Hi Guys,

With our purchase we do not get a furniture package.  We are however going to the Costa Del Sol at the end of Feb to order our furniture from a company called Furniture Express - they have been extremely helpful and have advised when they come and fit they bring spares - just in case there is anything we have forgot to order.

Personally we are going with a package - it may cost a little more - but you buy from one place, they deliver, put everything in place, bathroom fittings and electrical fittings - then they take all the rubbish.  All we will need to do, is bring ourselves and our clothes and enjoy - let someone else do the hard work.
