One point that continues toconcern me is the number of owners that will or will not attend the meeting or provide a proxy vote. With 550 properties, 90 of which are unsold we need a minimum total of 275 votes to win any points raised. Andy has 100 on his list so we need a minimum of 175 additional votes. Keymare aleady have 90 votes for the unsold properties and, in accordance with the contract , will pick up all the non-attendee votes that haven't provided a proxy vote. If 185 owners out of the 460 units sold fail to attend  the meeting or provide a proxy vote Keymare will start with a majority of votes on any point raised.

    Seasun can help us, just as we have helped them by handing over the e-mail addresses. They must have a list of all the owners telephone or fax numbers e-mail or home addresses. If we had those we could contact them individually to stress the importance of the meeting and establish whether they intend to attend. If they do not we must ensure we gain their proxy vote.

            If we leave it to chance to see how many attend Keymare may have the upper hand from the word go. If that were to be the case we would find it difficult to gain their agreement on any of the key issues to be raised.

In fact it is quite possible that not all of the people on Andy's list will have completed their purchase so the number may be less a 100.  I fully support the suggestion to get more email addresses from Seasun (if we can ever find Luis!)

As the date for the "proposed" community meeting approaches, I note that a number of owners are (quite rightly in some instances), getting their knickers in a twist!!

This is a painful experience!! As any woman will testify!

However, I know that our votes are crucial if we, as a minority are to be heard, but having discussed with other previous Al Andaluls owners what the format for the first meeting consisted of, I have been reliably informed that there will be no agenda/problems addressed/votes cast other than to establish that we are a communidad/community.

Once this has been established (all in Spanish I hasten to add - although we are entitled to a translator........God help them!!) Then a further date will be discussed for the second meeting whereby on this occasion, an agenda will be agreed upon which will then be debated/discussed/ranted about in a THIRD meeting..................are you getting the picture yet?

Basically, there will,eventually be  a committee formed hopefully with a bi-lingual El Presidente/Vice Presidente/Someone to make the tea etc., etc.,

Then..........................................................LET THE BUN FIGHT BEGIN!!!

In the meantime, take a deep breath, pour yourself a glass of whatever is your poison, and chill ('cos I know its cold in the UK at the moment..........sorry!)

If you are going to attend the first meeting, perhaps I'll see you there?

Seasun House will be unable to provide any information regarding e-mail addresses/telephone numbers etc., due to the data protection act.

Although I realise the importance of the "meeting", I  would imagine that others maybe reluctant for Seasun House to publish/reproduce/pass-on any information of a personal nature (e-mail address included) to any third party, and as such, we must respect their rights.

I'm not expecting season to publicise any personal info BUT  if it was'nt for stumbling across this forum i personally would not have any info whatsoever about thalassa, the communication is diabolical, we have 100 on the list out of 560 properties, how many of the others even know about all the issues raised on here or about community meetings, the administrators of OUR properties should be informing each owner of the importance of their vote on what has cost each and everyone of us an awful lot of money. The admin team therefore should be notifying ALL buyers in writing of its intentions and proposed dates for issues raised, this is not just an eos issue, this right belongs to all from every nationality that has bought on our lovely development. The buyers vote is misrepresented if it is dependant on the lucky few of us that have fortunately stumbled onto eos. My fellow buyers in my block havn't got a clue about these points, BECAUSE NOONE HAS TOLD THEM, now thats three votes lost

          Lorraine may quite well be right about the importance of the first meeting, maybe the lack of votes may count for nothing but the contract is quite clear  about the way in which the votes will be counted. The agenda for the meeting has 6 points where a majority vote is required to set the stage for the future . It is at this meeting where Keymare will be very keen to hand over the complex to the owners, irrespective of the defects,snags or omissions which are present. Todate Seasun have been acting on behalf of Keymare, form the 8th we will be asking them  to act on the behalf of owners only. But that will only happen if we have a majority  of votes.  We should make ever effort to  avoid going into this meeting with a weaked team, so the answer is attend the meeting or return your  proxy vote.

I agree with the sentiments that we must have as many as possible in attendance at the meeting or at the very least, proxy forms completed.

If anyone wants to join Andrew's list, I have a few names to add on & will happily add some more & then provide the updated list to Andrew.

I am also attending the meeting on the 8th March & will happily collect proxy votes from anyone willing to give them to me. Please PM me if you want to do this.
