Was just wondering, we are hoping to put some really nice outside furniture up on the solarium of our 2 bed apt - hopefully we will be spending loads of time up there.  How safe would it be to leave the furniture up there when we are not using the apt.  We are hoping to use the apt all summer ourselves and perhaps rent out later - but what happens during the time the apt is empty - as by the size of the apt there is not way we could store anything like patio tables, bbq's, sofa and sun loungers, and we dont particularly want to start having to lift stuff up and down narrow stairs - does anyone have any thoughts on this.  Do you think its safe to leave them out!

I've been having the same thoughts. We've been wondering whether it would be possible to add a security gate at the bottom of the stairs, but looking at the height of the walls this would be pretty pointless unless everyone had them. Not sure if Polaris would allow this anyway...

We might wait a while before we invest in anything too nice while we see what the security is like...

We have friends elsewhere in Spain who have bought metal style furniture and have had several hoops drilled into side walls and then they put the cushions into the apartments move the out door furniture together ,stack chairs etc and cover with the plastic protectors you can buy and chain it all to the various hoops on the walls. I'm also sure I read, many moons ago, on the general forum of someone who would  fix (by scewing or bolting) furniture onto a terrace. Not sure what a chain can be looped through on the whicker style furniture, which we rather like. We're hoping Polaris's claims regarding security are true

We have also been thinking about gates for the roof top stairs, as a safety factor for young children.

Yes - their was a post ages ago about someone who would secure the stuff to the terrace floor witha metal loop and chain.  I am thinking about putting a lockable storage box onto the terrace for the cushions as we are limited with space inside.  I got a good one from B and Q for UK home it was only about £50 or so. I was also looking at www.carrefour.es website the other day which gives you a good indication of prices for lots of stuff over there.  It's a big supermarket chain (which most of you will probably know anyway).

When we were viewing the show apartments tour guide said some people had asked about/suggested having wall seats built along one or other of the walls and using the interiors for storage.

Just a cautionary note - Polaris are very strict about physical alterations to the properties and there are all sorts of rules you can fall foul of (see other forums re-other resorts). Be sure before you spend too much making alterations !
