the photos are Fantastic,  so much work has progressed in just 2 weeks since we left. The swimming pool looks amazing with all the blue tiling...and I like the Grupo Mahersol Logo. What a lot of transformation..in such a short time. It is looking brilliant. And the outside landscape pics are beautiful as well. and the park area. Some flowers seem blooming. which weren't 2 weeks ago.

But best of all are the shots of you and Alan just chilling out..and our neighbour peter. Doesn't his solarium area look wonderful. Seeing people living there makes such a difference.

Thanks so much for sharing it all with us..and brightening up our day.

Hi, Dil and Alan,  Thanks so much for uploading the pix.  It looks so green! And it's great to see what people look like.  (I suggested we put up photos with us in them about a week ago, but there's not been any take-up!)  We're very much hoping to be out early April, but I think this may be a touch over-optimistic.  Still, a little optimism, whether justified or not, never did anybody any harm on a grey, drab March day!  Don't stay too quiet- we're developing into a very chatty group!  Very best wishes,  Donna and Andy (38)

Hi Again...did anyone spot the difference??  On the Jan 2..pics just posted..there is Dil stood in  glorious sunshine..on her very own balcony. Scroll down to Feb 20th.pics..and there is Danny grinning away in the Exact Same Spot. Only difference..he is 20 years older ..not as good looking.. LOl...and  wearing a sweater & waterproof.. Hi all,

thanks to Alan & Dil for the snaps, great to see that lovely blue sky and the apartments look a treat. As has already been said  its great to see people actually living there, sitting on the roof terrace enjoyng the weather.

Peter & Sue will be two apartments up from us, we will be neighbours to Donna & Andy, not sure who's on the other side. Our Agents, Pure Property Group, will be doing the snagging this week sometime, week beginning 10.03.08, and with a bit of luck things will have moved on from the previous weeks , fingers & toes crossed, there shouldnt be too many problems. We are out there in the next 3 weeks and are really hoping that we can get into our place.

We purchased all our white goods from Mahersol, with the discount on offer they seemed to be as good a price as anywhere else, we did some checking of prices on our last trip in December. Jill and I have been raking through the Ikea catalogue, the spanish one, and comparing the prices against the UK catalogue, and most goods seem to be cheaper out there, so for a day or two we will be donning our working clothes putting the furniture together, coupled with a beer or two to quench the thirst. I think the only thing on our daughters minds is spending the day in the pool and playing in the park.

Donna, with regard to the family photo I will look for an appropriate one where we are all smiling and get that posted, so you can see that your neighbours are quite a freindly bunch and not the family from hell.

Really looking forward to meeting everyone, I think there will be a great community spirit, spirit in more ways than one.

Dear Ian and Jill,

Your comment about finding a suitable photo reminded me of one of those Readers' Digest jokes where a couple were trying to deter an apparently most unsavoury family from moving in next door by playing heavy metal music extremely loudly.  It didn't work and the family moved in anyway citing that they knew immediately that it was the right place when they heard their favourite music being played from the next door!

We'll put up a photo, too.  I'm just about to book a flight from Blackpool for 31st March/ 1st April.

PS Just a thought... some friends who bought a similar property with shared pool at Santa Polo said that the pool wasn't handed over to the residents until they'd all formed a committee to sort out how it would be run.  ( I think they kept the plug back!)  I don't want to be unduly pessimistic, but I wouldn't want your girls to  be really disappointed if this turned out to be the case with us, too.

I'll find out from our agents regarding the pool, if thats the case then our girls will have to make do with a couple of  buckets on the roof terrace.

By the way I love heavy rock music, goes with the tattoos ! .........................Just kidding

Just a quick thank you to Alan & Di for the new piccies. It's great to see the site turning into a wonderful place to live or holiday as the case may be.

We were really impressed with the way the pool has been done. When we were looking at the piccies some friends were with us (they have a property in France) and they were really envious of everything.

On a dour note, l have been talking to Moneycorp this morning and their latest offer is E1.30 to the pound but they are optimistic that it may rise after Wed's budget.

Getting excited now as April is fast approaching. We haven't had notice yet that ours is ready (no2) but that ok cause our money is still earning interest over here.
