Hi

I have been considering for sometime in purchasing in Spain (family & capital growth) - and stumbled across CDS via a friend of a friend.  After a few phonecalls I have been offered by 2 separate people a ground floor 2bed, 2bath appx 77m2.  Apparently when first released they were listed at 245k euros.  One is offering at 245k euros the other is prepared to negotiate down the way!

Originally I had thought I've a good chance to pick up a quality apartment in a quality area for a really competitive price due mainly to completion dates and the property NOT realizing the capital growth that was originally intended.

However, having read ALL the threads i'm seeing a very bleak picture.

The question's are -  if you had to do it all over again would you? and does anyone know if 245k euros sounds like a reasonable price?

Welcome your thoughts - as prior to these threads I had been very interested.

Regards

Brian

That depends. The answer to your 1st question is no. 2nd question could be in a few years that depends on how you see it by the time you have finished paying out for lawyers. Tva and so on you are talking about £200,000 so is it worth it?

We have completed in Phase 1 and have returned from a week at CDS which we enjoyed.  If you are thinking of buying an apartment in the development my advice is to view it.  Overall, CDS is spacious compared to many other developments on the coast. Consider where the apartment is located in CDS and what your outlook is like; some apartments have no view and would not be worth a big financial outlay.   Having said that, we walked round the Majestic Gardens development below us (priced over 430K) and found many of them to be looking dietly into the back of another block. In terms of value for money, remember location, location, location.

We like the location and see potential in the area.  You only have to look at what has been built around us and what is planned in terms of road infrastructure andd commercial outlets, not to mention the likelihood of a major further investment by Disney.
