Hi
Interested to know how other Phase 2 purchasers are getting on with their arrangements for possibly taking over their properties at last! As usual, information from Atlantia is scant and contradictory - we have decided that it's probably best ignored and are just trying to arrange things through our solicitor.
What are your plans re: 'snagging'? Given the extended 2-year wait, we are in no hurry to sign and hand over loads more money until everything is absolutely as it should be, because the signs are not good for getting anything done in a hurry are they?
Be interested to know when some of you other Phase 2 owners are planning to go over - it's probably about time some of us met each other! Please send private replies, I think this discussion site has lost some of its value for us since the developer started to contribute!

Mr & Mrs Lucas,
The only reason I "joined in" and beagn to contribute was because there were people with doubts and others giving wrong information and I think this forum has gained exponentially in value since my contributions started.
I have given information on cedulas, building progress, phases, photos, etc
I try not to answer started posts unless I have a private message; which I have had a few.
Thank you,
Oscar

Hello Oscar
You know our situation - we have been making plans on and off for over two years now to complete on our property. Yet again we were due to travel next week and now we find that the Habitation Licence is not in place and not likely to be for some weeks to come - probably putting another summer out of reach in terms of letting out our property. You did tell us that no more properties would be released until this was in place - so it's getting extremely difficult to know what to believe. We are bound to lose faith in the information provided when these things happen.
It's about time Atlantia realised that people do want and are entitled to a return on their money, which has been lent without any return whatsoever, for four years now - they should be making a much greater effort to address this issue. We are not rich people, the money in Atlantia's bank account represent a very important part of our future, and we are not about to leave it lying idle for much longer - nor are we going to be talked in to an unwise, possibly illegal committment.

In terms of letting, I would suggest that you put yourself in the position of a tenant and ask yourself whether you would be prepared to pay top wack rental to holiday on a building site ?
To date access routes are restricted due to the the work on the different fases and diggers have been operating on fase 4. its not necessarily the most relaxing place to be at the moment

Hi,
Just got back home having finally signed for our property. Yes, the development is still a building site, but in fairness to Atlantia they seem to be moving at a good pace. When you purchase on an early phase 1/2, and know that there a 4 phases then i think it should be expected. We initially looked at buying on Phase 3, but the completion date was a full year after Phase 2 and i didn't want to wait as long, however i did expect to live opposite whilst the work was undertaken. We are very pleased with our property. We have a little snagging list, but nothing that i am very worried about. As soon as we got our keys at the Notary, we headed straight to our apartment. At the time there was no electricity on, so a quick call to Lyndsay soon rectified this, she had an electrician with us within 30 minutes. The next day, we started to clean, and it soon became apparant that there was a fault with our boiler. Yet again Lyndsay made a few calls and within 5 minutes we had plumbers and electricians on site. 30 minutes later we had a new boiler installed.
I can understand everyones frustration, but i'm sure it will be worth all the wait when you are sat on your patio, basking in the sun having a few jars.

Hello there
Pleased to hear from someone who has actually signed and taken over their property. We are waiting for Phase3A, well overdue but we are being told June or July, 3A is the first part of the phase I think to be completed as there are only 60 apartments in that section. We are living in Spain, renting, but are going to UK for July and August so are feeling quite confident that they will be ready in September. Not sure if anyone else is actually going to live in Mojon Hills, seems really quiet on all phases at the moment!! Glad to hear that you are pleased with the quality of your apartment and with all the help you have received from Lindsay, we think she is great and nothing ever seems too much trouble for her.

Good to hear Sara has got her house and is pleased with it. We also found Lyndsay to be helpful, it's good to know she is able to sort out any problems.
Has anyone else started the process? We've had some emails, some of which have been rather strange. So far we've still had no contact or progress photos from our agent, so don't have any proof that the buiding is finished. As for the roads, pavements, pool - for all we know these could still be on the drawing board. We know some people who bought inland from Mazarron, and when they got there after paying found the infrastructure was unfinished. Some years on, they are still trying to get deeds and certificate of habitation. We don't want to get caught like this.
Has anyone received the final written statement referred to in the contract? Because it seems a bit odd that we're asked to hand over a huge sum of money on the basis of an email telling us that handover will soon start.
I know this is not England, and systems work differently, but this is a huge step (and financial committment) for our retirement. We can't afford to make a mistake.
Sorry if I sound a bit negative, we're looking forward to living with you all in the sun, particularly since Mojon Hills is such a stunning location.

Forgot to ask in my last post - do we have any idea how much the community charge might be? Because I've just looked on another thread on here and someone is paying €200 per month. (not on M Hills). Obviously the pool and communal areas have to be maintained, but I can't find any reference to this in the info we had when we signed up.
