Hi Debbie,
I was there also last weekend - must say weather hot. Were on phase 3, and completion is almost there, just finishing off the kitchen, putting in toilets and sinks in bathrooms and final finishes on the doors. They have said they will be complete by the end of May with possibly running into June. That is more the safety net for all the paper work.
Last Saturday they had started to render the final staircase, there is still quite a few bits to do, but they seem to be moving a great pace.
I'm planning to be out from the 8 Aug - 31 Aug (anybody else out then?) and possibly will come out again prior to this as I would like to be there for the signing.
I have some photo's which I will post, but to be fair there not too discimilar to what is already there.
Regards
Sharron

I had a message from my lawyer on Friday, they want to send me a statement of accounts, which means to me that its all over and the fat lady is getting ready to sing !!!!!
It looks like we were all about right with the dates and i agree that they over state in case they have a problem with paperwork etc.
Bring it on, i cant wait !!!

Hi Dave, Hi Sharon,
We are in Phase 1 our solicitor is signing for us on May 29th but we are not going out till September, does anyone know what we do about utility bills in the meantime?
I see you are from the West Mids as well Dave!

Hi Christine and Geoff,
We found that the best way to pay utility bills was by direct debit. You could ask your solicitor to set them up for you with Aquagest and Iberdrole. There will be connection charges and other small amounts to pay before you go out in September.
Good Luck

Hi Mike and Gloria.
Hope you are both well. Thanks for the info. Do we have to pay two lots of connection charges as there are water and electricity connection charges on our final payment for the apartment of 150 euros?

Hi Christine and Geoff,
Well we did!!!!
We paid the builder/developer 150e CASH at notary.
Then we were charged AGAIN by Aquagest and Iberdrole a few months later when the connections were made (we were on builders supply until about October last year)
Most of us moaned about it but there was not a lot we could have done. I don't think the first cash payment went to the utility company but to pay for the builders supply. We were obviously conned!
Mike and I are both well and looking forward to our next trip over in June. We hope to see you there when we go back Sept/Oct. Our intercom now works so come knock on our door.
Hope all goes well, at least you don't have to spend most of the day at the notary.

I agree with that, you have to be careful switching from builders supply to domestic, it"s easy to get caught for paying 2 or even 3 times, and i can imagine it would be near impossible to get any money back.
But looking on the positive side we have all come a long way and it is nearly over and this time next year it will all be a distant memory and we will be all sitting round the pool with a glass of ice cold beer, sounds brill !!!!
Yes i"m from the West Mids as well, maybe we should start our own club !!!
Regards
Dave
