Hi Loz & Kath
I've just picked up this thread and thought I'd tell you where we went for our stuff. If you have a car, then it's not far to the Habaneras in Torrevieja. There's a huge Carrefour there and they sell all manner of household stuff. In the Habaneras itself there's a DIY shop and just walking distance behind the shopping complex is another DIY shop.
For odds and ends, like key cutting, nails, screws etc. etc. then you can't do better than to support the local hardware shop in Rojales. They are a lovely couple and really helpful. They've also got some interesting pictures on the wall of the day Rojales flooded!

Thanks for that Irene the information is very helpful. I will take your advice regarding supporting the local hardware shop in Rojales. Can you give me a few directions to it please and do they sell sandbags for when it next floods !!
While I'm going on about the area does anybody know if there are any Gym's that you can go to on a casual basis instead of having to pay a membership fee?
Thanks Loz & Kath Elliott

Hi Loz & Kath
I don't know the exact name of the road, but coming from Palacios roundabout into Rojales you just follow the road, past the supermarkets on the left. You'll hit an area with quite a few small shops and you pass the town hall on the right. Just beyond that is a sort of triangle of roads. The hardware shop is in that area as is the tapas bar I described.
As for sandbags, well, that's a question I dare you to ask them!
