Why have posts been given exotic titles?

I e-mailed my local MEP and today received the following:

Dear Mr Allen,

Thank you for your email of 4 May regarding the problems you have been encountering following the purchase of a holiday home in 2005 from HUMA.

In light of your comments I have written to HE Denise Holt the British Ambassador to Spain and HE Carlos Bastarreche Sagues, the Spanish Permanent Representative to the EU for their advice and assistance in this matter. I have also sought a response from HUMA and I will be pleased to revert to you when I have received replies.

May I suggest that any one else who is not happy write to their local MEP.   I feel this is a positive step to take and allthough may not help matters it is better than just complaining about HUMA on this site and the more complaints they get the more chance we have of something happening.

I have tried this tact on numerous occasions with my local MEP's - Manchester and surrounding area, only one came back with any suggestion for what I could do...the others merely folded their arms via a desk clerk, seems like you may live in an area where they understand thier role!!

Would you mind sharing these details? I think it's time to 'shame' mine into taking up the challenge and doing the do for their constitute!!

When I get any further details I will post them on this site.

I would think that the more complaints that MEP have in connection with this the more likelyhood we would have of success.

Ive also wrote to my local MEP and are awaiting a reply. I think you have the right idea.  Fingers crossed it helps.  Things seem to have gone very quiet lately nothing from Huma or any of the solicitors. Very worrying.

Thanks for that we emailed him this morning ,.I told him the basic story and that i hope he will help as the this is our last chance as no one else can or is willing , and it would be good to get support from  our own country because they should not be aloud to get away with it and that  the Spanish law sucks (well not in those words) if I hear anything ill let you no.
