Hi Freddy this is what atlas sent to us afew days ago.....
Dear Mr & Mrs ????????,
This e-mail is to confirm the telephone conversation maintained with Mr ????????? this morning.
The builder San Jose has informed Atlas International that the judicial administrator will not allow your change of property, even though it is within the same company.
Atlas International is unable to change this decision made by the courts.
Atlas International would like to offer you a re-inspection trip, at no cost, to you both to choose another property with another builder in Spain.
The funds paid to date, ??,749.84€, will be transferred to your new property purchase even though these funds are with the builder. Atlas International will do this as you are our client and we wish to do everything in our power to assist you with your property purchase in Spain.
Alicia in San Jose is the person that informed Atlas International of the decision of the judicial administrator.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours Sincerely,
Make of that what you will... we still want our Playa Golf villa, Lawyers on the case..
Regards
Dal.

More strange by the day .. If San Jose are prepared to transfer deposits to purchase from other builders.. Why can't they just return it ?
There are some resales on Playa Golf 1,2 & 3 and whilst the prices may not be quite a snip, most will furnished and with fitted Air-Con and white goods. This message was last edited by freddy on 6/5/2008.

Have no idea what people are asking but there are few giving telephone numbers to contact...I noticed one yesterday " deal direct with the owner" which might indicate they are ready to talk about price..
I can't understand why San Jose should be reluctant to sell .. they have that many still empty, I would have thought it made good business sense for the Administrators to offload a few..

Hi Freddy, we couldnt agree more, but who knows what the thinking is. anymore. Alica from SJ has confirmed that our file is being looked at on Monday and she is as positive as she feels able to say that we will get our transfer. We shall see.... Very little surprises us these days and so we must patient a little longer....
Are you transferring if possible?

martinbrothers, We are already here on R3...This is our second year here and whilst the house is my daughters my wife and I spend most of our time here..
Fortunately we are well past the period where the San Jose problems affect us, but we do get quite a few people stopping and wanting to discuss the area, as they look for something suitable. This message was last edited by freddy on 6/6/2008.

Hi all
Interesting to read on this forum, that people who have paid deposits to SJ, have been told they can transfer them to another builder, and another development !
I don't see how, ( when SJ are in administration ), they can release monies to anyone ?
We have a large deposit on an Azucena at SADM in Jumilla, and too looked into transfering to Playa Golf, but, were told that this is not possible whilst the company is in administration.
Friends of ours too, were told the same !
As freddy has already said.......if they can transfer deposits to another builder, then why can't they just return it ??
The whole thing....to me...is yet another "playing for time" tactic by SJ, and I personally would'nt now believe anything that they said to me, unless it was clearly outlined in writing......and then checked by my Lawyer !
Everyone should be vigilant about this.............and HOPEFULLY...........something good will come out of the administration process.
All we want is our dream home..........or our money back to purchase elsewhere !

Not sure for the reasons but there has been a noticable lack of Atlas reps and vehicles around here recently in the last week.... alhtough I was told that the show bungalow had been sold and people moving in this week-end... People that had previously paid a deposit at Jumilla........I will try and keep you informed.

Hi Baz/Sue,
We couldnt agree more, we wont believe it until we have a key (dreaming of Jumilia stopped some months back). Not sure how accurate this is but we have been told (by SJ Alicia via our Agent), that the Administrators are looking at 'individual' cases - ours tomorrow allegedly - based in all liklihood on the amount of the deposit paid at Jumilia (ours was around 80%). We handed PA over to our Lawyer in early May and we are on the list of Creditors. So if ours gets the go ahead this week we will post that at least they are able to honor something they say.. if its a NO it willl only leave us one course of action but cant say it would come as a shock these days - we would enter the lengthy Legal system and get our money back or salvage what we can from this rotten deal and buy elsewhere one day.
Take care
martin and sally

Hi guys
Hope alls well, dose anyone know what kind of place La Marina is???
We have seen a lovley Detached Villa 3 bedroom 2 bath 2 parking space privite garden with fruit trees and a suna room. Its walking distance from shops, beach and golf. We are thinking of viewing it when we fly out on Sunday. The owner had to move back to uk because of ill heath its a resale property its fully furnished key ready and the owner is also giving us a car. The price is less than what we would have paid for our White Lilly in Playa Golf.
I would be greatfull if anyone staying in Spain caould tell us more about La Marina.
Cheers
Dal.

Hi Kalghotra
We have visited La Marina a few times because we have friends there and they have been there now for about five years, and they go over for about six months every year. They love it. It is convenient for Alicante airport, plenty of shops, restuarants, golf and from what I saw a very friendly community. They all help each other, especially when the properties are empty between visits. It is quite a large urbanisation but they have lovely views.
Obviously it is a bit more established than Playa Golf. I think you would like it there.
Take care and good luck

Hi Dal - I don't have a price list but my Azucena on PGII was valued by the bank for my mortgage in Nov 2007 at 218,000 euros and I paid 179,000 euros which was supposed to be a discounted price - not too sure whether that was spin or not!! Current prices seem to be much lower.
You should delete your email address from your post or you wll end up getting swamped by spam!!
