Hi Steve,
We where told there is a backlog @ the courts when we where in Spain and it should be sorted out soon. We where told that theres more than a 90% chance that most transfers will get the go ahead in the next 1-2 months.
Sal / Myra, have you heard anything?
Regards
Dal.

Hi folks, No Dal nothing happening todate. Ive mailed our Lawyer again (who has some news allegedly?) but havent had a reply yet..
Frustratingly quiet but giving us time for lots of reflexion as to which way to go. By all accounts the Administrators report will be made public soon as well which may change views. Reading the SADM forum is rather like reading a script from Corrie, with the occasional information looking like a breakthrough verging on 'fact' only to find its a 'view' or 'best hope' but unsubstantiated then reverting back to script writing again!
Not sure how I used to fill my minutes between customers tho.. Id mss this forum!
A message has just popped up from the Lawyer... back in a while...
Sally

Hi All other Transerees... the Administrators have approved the transfer papers which can only be positive news. All Lawyers need to make an application to them in writing which will then go to the 2 Courts to be presented to the Judges for final approval. Bearing in mind that there is no official time limit on this being looked at by the Judges, it would be unfair to ascertain the exact time scale. However, our Lawyer has indicated that they are responding to requests and information very quickly so its very unlikely to drag on too much longer.
I asked about the feasibility of Jumilia, and yes he's pretty sure that the build will go ahead eventually but it could be years and is adament that this is the quickest route to safeguarding our money now. We still have the option of our original Jumilia plot and everything is in place for Court should we get a negative outcome from the Judge (highly unlikely with the written approval of the Administrators behind us now - which he has a copy of).. so not much longer now folk.!!!
Keep positive
A smiley Sal for a change!

Sally,
Are you looking to transfer? If so, what discount were you offered by San Jose?
When I looked to transfer, the prices San Jose were asking were very high even with the 10% discount they were offering. I worked out I would still be better off if I bought a resale and lost my deposit than buying a transfer from SJ. But it all comes down to how much discount you can negotiate.
Regards,
Steve.

Hi Steve
I'm in a similar position to Sally and am in a upbeat mood after reading the update from our Lawyer.
We transferred from Santa Ana to PG 3 in April 2008, We brought a White Lilly over looking a pool, South facing, Sea views listed at € 202.800 San Jose offered it to us for €189.000, we said noway to that and offered €165.000 which was excepted.
Now hopefully it shouldn't be to long till we get our keys.
Dal :)

Dal,
Good for you, at least this is a more sensible price and makes it worth while. Hope everything goes well for you. I might have another look, although I know there are more transfer requests than properties at the moment so may be a little too late. Unless they release some more.
Keep us posted on any developments etc.
Steve.

Not quite sure if any have logged on to the Playa Golf III site yet.
The site is little used yet could be a great asset to anyone moving in...I'm sure Barry who set up the blog would welcome posts from Playas , I,II and III...
The blog can be a guide to both residents and those using their properties as holiday homes.... Barry set it up for this reason, so maybe we should try and use it more..

Hi All,
I last posted on May 30th when we were waiting to complete on a transfer from SADM to Playa Golf. We had signed the contracts in March.
We finally completed on Monday 21st July. We thought it would never happen, especially when we had an appointment in June at the Notary to complete... and no one from San Jose turned up!! We were told later that the administrators needed more time to look at our contracts as it was an exchange.
I am hoping this post will give anyone in a similar position (waiting to exchange) some hope. It WILL take time, but, if its the right decision for you then stick with it.
Good luck to everyone...whatever you want.

Hi,
I posted on July 23rd, to let everyone who was in a similar position ( exchanging from Jumilla to Playa Golf ) that we had completed on July 21st.
We too had an appointment with the notary and no one from San Jose turned up.
We just went back and kept trying, telephonong and emailing until we got a date to complete which was July 21st.
Our solicitor was good but I think they are all hard to contact.
Keep trying. Good Luck.

Playa Golf III has been very busy this last couple of weeks with many more owners/ holidaymakers there. It was possibly the communities EGM that added to the influx of people where our new President, Vice President and committee were elected.
The new fish & Chip restaurant has opened at La Ronde adding to the many bars and restaurants there. As I passed on Friday evening every bar and restaurant was busy with tables and chairs even out along the roadway. not even a space for a car to park !!... Altogether, a brilliant holiday atmosphere !!
