Hope you can make more sense of these diagrams than I.
It looks like the pedestrian access is on the left.
And there are two gates, (entry and exit) which move independently.

I;ll post the PDF to the DV Wiki.

Hi Paul

Do you know wheather or not we will be allocated Keys and Electronic clicker for opening the gates or will they be operated by full time security guard. Pleased they are going in and looking forward to seeing them when i am down for a few days from 6th June.

Cheers

Phil

Phil,

There are no clues in the PDF file sent out by A.E.A.
Previously the temporary barrier was operated by  our garage remotes.
The remotes needed programming on  one of the four buttons.

There will need to be a guard also to allow access for deliver and service vehicles.  Not sure what procedures will apply but hopefully all
vehicle registration numbers will be logged.

I will only be too glad to see this installation completed so that  I might get to use the paddle courts  on Saturday afternoons.

Maybe it will soon by time for an official opening of DV !!

You know I was thinking the road down at the bottom towards paddle courts  would be ideal for a street party.

Paul

Thanks for the reply, I am sure AEA will fill all the owners in on the finer detail of entry and exit.

I take it from the points you made that people not connected to the development are still using the paddle tennis court. You would think that the security guards there in the day would put a stop to that, as you mention though the sooner the barrier is installed the better.

The street party sound like a good idea, maybe someone could send a thread to drum up interest and support. I am always up for a party!!!

Cheers
Phil

There is no reason why the existing garage remotes should not operate the main gate. The make of garage receiver and the remotes is a well known company and would expect that they will use the same type. Some remotes only have one button but that should not be a problem.

As long as you have one remote that activates the gate they are easy to program.

However with two gates how will they ensure that only the entrance or exits open when the remote is activated. Unless they use a vehicle sensor with the remote to sense which gate to open.

Why when we got the plans of the main entrance did we all think we were getting gates and now we have to settle for barriers, which will not stop anyone getting into DV on foot, and using the facilities we have. Barriers are just a cheap option unless they are the ones with the metal bars which fold down as the barriers go up.
