Another La Renta question

After much soul searching and agonizing over the past few months, we have decided to pull out of our purchase. The continuing slide of the pound against the Euro and negative property forecasts for Spain has finally made up our minds.

To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement but I cannot justify what effectively amounts to a very substantial increase in the property. Any way we shall give it a little time then start looking again and you never know may yet find something in Arenal Duquesa.

In the meantime I will keep checking EOS to see what's happening.

That is sad news Alan,   however I do respect your reasons.  Please do keep in contact with us all here on the forum your input  has been unvaluable.  I wish you luck in your new venture where/when that may be. 

Oh Alan. What a shame, because it's a dream that's not happening now.  I am sure there will be another great dream in the making and I wish you all the best with it.  You have to do what's best for you, and that's a' fact. Please keep in touch.  I always liked your posts and I thought you'd make a great neighbour!  And , as we  know (all together now...............) :"Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours!"    I think arranging a completion date has finally gone to my head.  Margo 

Sorry to hear that you are pulling out Alan but can well understand. It doesn't look like Phase 4 will be complete for at least 12 months now which is disappointing but at least the pound may strenghthen in that time. We will probably see what's available at what price elsewhere and review our options as we bought in Feb 05 at not so good a price as everyone completing now. I was looking forward to the footie banter next season with you and Laurdan - I expect that Spurs will be looking to knock the Gunners off third spot - it's far more interesting discussion than TV's and Sat dishes when you haven't got anywhere to put the b..... thing. Anyway - good luck and keep viewing and posting.

Thanks for the kind comments and David Tracy will not get away with it when Arsenal struggle next year. I don't want to turn this forum into a footie discussion web site but I won't be able to resist the odd comment!
Yes Margo it is a dream that hasn't happened, yet! I am still dreaming therefore still hoping. I will see what's available in about 6 months and hope the pound is stronger then.
