insect bites, any advice?

We've often been swamped with flies when in Calahonda during the summer months, and other posts say that in June in Almeria, it's a major put-off. Is northern Spain any better in this regard?

Use Jungle Formula spray, it's not cheap but it works.

I buy Nenuco Agua de Colonia (a baby product to protect from bites) from Mercadona and it is only just over a € and works very well on adults. IF you do get bitten then put a small piece of toilet tissue over the bite and it stops the itching and the nasty oozing from the bite. Good Luck
