Hi All,
reading the doom and gloom stories this morning makes me think great not a good time to come to Spain ? and yet other people say yes go for it cos its brilliant ? mixed messages. As you will see from my previous entries we are a young 47 (feeling older by the day) and wish to fullfill our ambition now the kids have flown the nest. We dont have loads of capital behind us to be able just to sit and not worry. However we both are hard workers in the DJ / Radio presenter industry and with a large experience in sales would be interested in your opinion as to whether to take the chance with the up and coming season or wait yet another year on a maybe. This is obviously a respected expat site and you are the guys that are actually there so know the real story. If you would be good enough to reply to a yes - go for it or a no - dont do it we would be grateful and might make that jump a little smoother or influence our decision not to go. We are looking to head south to estepona area or surrounding.Would be interesting to do follow stories of the actual transition if all system go. YES OR NO ? That is the question.
Many thanks
Roger and Cheryl

Do you have an exit strategy? Will you be keeping a property in the UK? How easily will you be able to return to employment in the UK if things don't work out? Only you can answer the question as to whether taking the plunge would be a calulated risk, or a reckless adventure. As to whether or not you are likely to find gainful employment over here - best to assume no. But you never know until you try, so if you can afford to take the risk, why not?
Tip: keep an eye on the sits vacs at Sur in English - occasionally English radio stations advertise for sales staff. But bear in mind, almost all sales jobs here are on a self employed, commission only basis. Good luck.
