Drip irrigation for garden, your views?
The Comments |
Hi,
I am planning to install a drip irrigation system for the garden of my holiday home so the plants stay nice and green while I'm away.
Do you have any experiences with such a system, any brands you can recommend etc?

Have installed a few of theses systems. Very easy to install.Leroy Merlin sell a good timer for about 32 euros, sorry do not remember the make. Very simple to programe. They also sell all the irrigation pipes and fittings that are very easy to connect, they just push together. pipe diameter to buy is 6 mm.

Bear in mind that this rubber tubing will perish, and the pressure may not be enough to reach all round the garden if it is big. We had one initially, but now just ask a kind neighbour while we are away.

I have an irrigation system but the initial big mistake I made was to have it switched on too often. I overwatered some of the plants and killed them. I go for the minimum now.
