Hi All,
Some time ago I was contemplating buying a estate agency franchise, but after some good advice from EOS members and some research in to the company, I decided to forget that idea.
I have now come up with another idea, which I am hoping Estate Agents on EOS can give me some of there valuable advice.
Basically what I want to do is set up my own free lance estate agency (I think that is the right word) My idea is to generate clients by advertising in the local free papers, leave my card at hotels, use flyer's and hopefully set up my own web site.
Once a potential client contacts me, I would sit down with him/her and generate a wish list with them IE budget, own pool, area etc (you know the routine)
Once I have all the relevant info, it would then be up to me to do all the donkey work for my client. I would find as many Estate Agents with properties that fitted my clients wishes.
The advice I am looking for, is would it be better to charge my client for this service, or if I got a sale ask the relevant Estate Agent for a commission on the sale?
If you think a commission from the Estate Agent would be better what in your opinion would be a fair commission? and what would you suggest I say to the Estate Agents on first meeting them?
I would really appreciate any help and advice you can give me.
Much appreciated
Ollie
