Hi,
I also have an apartment in Spain and are thinking of switching management companies, while I was searching I came across this Ready Rental Property. I would be interested to know if you made the switch and if you did switch, how have you found them.
Best wishes,
Nigel.

Hi Nigel,
I did go ahead with them and they seem professional and a good concept. Direct bookings via online systems seems the way to go. It has only gone live in the last 1-2 weeks so sa far I can't tell you if it is working or not.

Hi Graeme,
Thanks for replying so fast, I hope everything goes well for you, especially as it looks as though we might be joining you. Our current Agents in Spain "**EDITED - Against terms of posting **" as a complete waste of space, no bookings since our completion in August last year.
Best wishes,
Nigel. This message was last edited by EOS Team on 6/5/2008.

I am at a total loss trying to understand how you can both have this conversation about this company.
This "company" has a basic home-made 1 page website with barely any content on it. No phone number, no address, no company details whatsoever.
They don't rank anywhere on the search engines for anything at all and they don't even display any properties on their website. Nigel how could you possibly have found this website whilst "searching" if they don't actually appear for any phrase at all on the search engines?
There isn't a single press release about their "unique partnership wth the UK's travel industry giants".
This sounds like a total con. And, with so many established (and decent) companies offering high levels of service why would you go for such "just been going for 1 - 2 weeks" outfit which doesn't even give you a number to ring???? What experience do they have to justify what they are proposing?
Am I missing something here?
I personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Justin

Guys
I also have been approached by ready rentals. Out of interest were they asking for an annual fee of around €1300 + 15% per booking? phew for what exactly.
Extremely cautious of them but i need some proof of there affiliation to the HI Street.
All the testimonials say how bad everyone else is but not how good they are. T&C's don;t mention anything about how the day to day management works.
They do however seem to be linked to the On Holiday Group ? Perhaps??
Any one have any more info?

Hmm!
A lot of 'newbies' asking the same question, and as a result promoting the same company in search engines.
I just googled this company and I got more hits from this forum than I did for the company. In the end, I had to do and 'exact' search by enclosing the search criteria in double quotes, and it still came THIRD.
I'm with Justin, wouldn't touch em with a barge pole.
Let me sum this up - You want to give the keys of your apartment to a company that ONLY works on the internent, has no postal address, no telephone number, no office!!!!
.
I didn't think you would!

1300 euros per year is very high - tends to be around 6-700 per annum
A legal agency will charge iva at 16% of that
Bookings at 15% isnt bad - some do it for 20% but dont manage the property and dont forget you will pay for maintenence and cleaning/laundry as well
Better to search for a website thats in the search engines
A new site wont be linked to any large tour operator - I used to work with several and most are out of the market now - either they have their own blocks of units or they are back to using hotels for their package tours!!!

If you want to rent your property in Spain you need someone on location to ensure that the rental is a sucess. (cleaning, maintenance, key service, money handling, emergencies, etc). There are also compliancy issues (in Andalucia these are being enforced). The best people to help you are businesses located close to your property who are geared up to rent it out on your behalf.
Many rentals management agencies are happy to let you do the promotion and marketing and even booking side your selves, providing there is fairplay and transparency with information sharing (the idea is to get repeat rentals from satisfied renters).
We will update this post should anyone wish to know more about how to rent out your property yourself via the internet, though the Eye On Spain site is a good place to start if you have someone on site to do the rest.

Richy
I had Ready Rentals on the phone and they were very pushy for the upfront fee
BHI supplies OnHoliday Group as part of Home from Home not Ready Rentals. I know because I called OnHoliday Group to check
I'm new here, are you Instant Access member?

hi guys
i have been contacted by ready rentals also, they said theyb were working with the on holiday group and that they could market my property in high street travel agents and on oline co´s like last minute...i was a bit dubios cause of my experiance with other co´s i´ve had dealings with through my property´s in spain but the invited me to send an email to the on holiday group requesting info on renting my property and to add a "password" i done this and they called next day and read the email to me including the password i put on it...now i was aware of the on hol group before i spoke to them and the fact that they got my email tells me that they are a legit co and can do what they say....i have signed and so far the service has been profesional and one of my propertys has 2 weeks booked (i joined 3/6/08), so as far as im concerned they seem to be doing the trick
oh and i also saw one of my villas on travel super market

i must admit they dont seem to have much of a presence on the the internet...they said they spend their budget attracting buyers(ie. holidaymakers) is this the norm? has anyone else had dealings with them?....i did get approached by my agent the dreaded MRI for holiday lets but the exp i had with them buying 2 of the propertys left a sour taste in my mouth so i didnt fancy giving them any more dough......is there another rental company that can give the same sort of service that ready rentals offer...ie. marketing into mainstream travel ind ?

Hi everybody,
I had a call and an email from these guys and agree with Justin. If this isn't a con I don't know!! They want 1500 euros up front for marketing and a 500 "deposit" which "will keep your property ready for rental at all times"?!?!?
When I spoke to the guy he said "oh yeah, Alcaidesa, that's somewhere near Alicante isn't it?" (it's 15 min from Gibraltar!) and when I asked him how he was going to manage my property when he didn't have a presence in Alcaidesa or even knew where it was he still wasn't stumped for words. Unbelievable. He also asked me if I wanted to sign up there and then. I think not!
I wouldn't touch them.
Hasta luego,
Maud

the deposit they said was for emergancies cause it takes so long to transfer funds if somthing happens and i can kind of agrre with that as im in a position that i dont want to have to deal witht he day to day running... my agent in london holds a 300 pound deposit on each property as well....you can always use the owners websites but they take to much time to manage and the rental returns arnt great
jus my 2 cents
