This company has just approched me regarding my apartment in Benalmadena which they found on the internet. They say they have 3 confirmed bookings for me. They want 930 euros upfront before they release any more details and I don't even get my rental monies until the tenants actually go into the property!
Would anyone give keys to their apartment to unknowns before they get the money? A lady called Lydia is very nice on the phone and she sounds very convincing and it all sounds tempting when we're all struggling with mortgage payments but this setup all seems to be loaded in favour of Ready Rental Property!
Some clear information would be much appreciated.

Hi Summer 1010. If you see my posts below - you will see my similar dilemma's.
I had 2 bookings confirmed - that have not happened yet.
However - they eventually agreed to waive my fee and take their fee from the 1st 2 bookings they get (of which I have had one so far).
I am still yet to be convinced that I will ever see any money from them - but I took the plunge - time will tell!!

All the advice I give is form practical experience of renting successfully renting, even bookings this year, my own properties in Spain
If you want to rent your property do your own promotions via the websites that are guarnteed to get traffic like Holiday Rentals, Hoilday Lettings,Daltons, IHA etc as the total fees, around 300 pounds a year will be covered with ONE BOOKING
Look at Villarenters wher you only pay when they get a booking
Do a search on properties similar to yours in the same area and see who´s sites come up, then look at their availability to see how successfull they are with bookings
There are certain techniques to getting your property more exposure in the search process which I cannot go into on an open forum
Find yourself a good local keyholder who lives local for your weekly management meet and greet cleaning etc and reference them
NEVER pay a company a large fee upfront as let´s be honest what motivation do they have to find you bookings if they already have your money and what guarntees do you have, given the financial climate, that they will be around next week.
NEVER use a company where a condition of getting bookings is using their keyholding and cleaning services, they will be more expensive and less flexible than local suppliers, especially if you have to commit to a minimum contract term
Bookings can get and are cancelled where you end retaining perhaps a small deposit and remember that you have to tteat responding to bookings and looking after the property as a business, it takes time to build up a business

Hi Roy, am aware of this and couldn't really care now. I am a real customer who has paid 870 euros for a very very poor service (with full proof of this). If told to take it down by Eye on Spain, will do, but won't do this on the request on RRP. I'd welcome a call from someone in authority to be honest. Maybe they will become more professional if people tell others how it really is out there?! When you try so hard and are pushed back against a wall, you sometimes have to come out fighting!!

You may have seen my previous thread on Ready Rental Properties. I am in the process of trying to get this deleted this as I have entered into discussions with them. I will report on the outcome later. No matter what the outcome is, I personally will not recommend them to fellow property owners. There is a now a lot of info about them on the web and if you would like to find out about my experiences with them, please contact me.

Ready Rental Property and Key Lounges DO NOT TOUCH

I joined ready rental Property after speaking to Kevin on phone and meeting him in Furengirola. I joined because of promise of extensive web exposure and home from home brand, ATOL protection., online payment. It was a calculated gamble because to quote some politician doing nothing was not an option. So far they have installed health and safety pack which I paid for and have kept in contact via email /phone with 4 weeks confirmed bookings for July/ August. Also whilst I was in apartment one of their reps from management company came not knowing I was in there. He came check facilities eg ac, appliances. I am still with holidaylettings.co.uk which I can refer to RRP however interest this year is next to nothing probably due to euro rate and fear of airlines going under leaving passengers stranded which happened last year. This is my experience so far, the proof of the pudding will be at the end of this summer when I will let you know what happened good or bad.

In fairness to them (so far) they have given me 2 weeks with exact dates as promised, kept me informed, and have been dealing with any queries I have in a timely fashion. This is only my second year of renting and as its going to be a tough year I thought I would give them a go. Like others I will sit back and see what happens and keep you guys informed. Interestingly enough MRI (blood boiling at the very name) sent me an email listing amongst others readyrentals as a scam outfit, strangely enough I took heart at that as they are perhaps worried about the competion. I forwarded the email to readyrentals who phoned me today and informed me that all the companies mentioned by MRI are taking legal proceedings against MRI. Good luck to you all.

Hi All,
Just to let you know that I have posted on a previous thread on this forum regarding Ready Rental, Key Lounges, Furniture Direct Worldwide, Resale Strategy etc......
I purchased my furniture from Furniture Direct Worldwide for my property last year, I completed at the beginning of the year and are still to see my furniture installed. I have had Zero contact from them and recently received an email stating that they have been forced into Voluntary Receivership!
These are all one company that have been set up by certain individuals of names I cannot mention due to forum rules, however if FDW are going under then this must mean that Ready Rental and all the other cowboy outfits associated with them are too.
They are doing nothing for anyone and all we have done is pay for the persons mortgage and more for the next month that sold to us a rental and furniture package. I am gutted about this and I urge anyone who has paid them to seek a refund from your credit card company. If you paid by bank transer then your buggered.
I have asked for a full refund and have been completely blanked.

Wow so please I found this thread and the views of existing oners who joined RRP, I was about to sign up with these because they had the best pitch, guess I will go with the second choice and give the live technology that they are offering me a try, its also a bit cheaper than the full package with RRP, so I guess I was mad to consider RRP in the first place, and if I go back next year the price drops because they have no set up fees, my own website with their live booking system, pics, descriptions etc etc etc will have all been done this year.
Thanks guys n gals you have helped me make up my mind.

What would we do without this forum. I have a really nice client who is having problems with ready rental properties. I am assisting her. Before I go and knock on their door (If they are still there) Has anyone managed to contact them recently or can give me any leads. Really would appreciate this as I do not give up. We have to stamp out these practices on the Costa.

Yeah they are alive. Had a bit of contact recently (last 2 weeks) with them about picking up keys for my apartment, when they passed my request onto Key Lounges, who hold my keys. RRP are based in Fuengirola, but seem to want to dodge you coming to see them in my previous experience. Seems when you mention doing this, they are happy to communicate with you. Maye this is so that you don't make the trip?. Had an email the other week saying they had changed address. New address is;
Ready Rental Property, C/ Avenida del Alcalde Clemente Diaz Ruiz, 8, 29640 Fuengirola, Málaga, Spain.
No news on new numbers, so think they are still the same. Advise if need this and email addresses.

Well its happened. Like most people I was contactedm by them and afer much thought parted with my money. To date they have kept in contact and on Friday my first (out of the 2 promised/guaranteed) "guests" went into our apartment, so at least they have kept to that side of the bargain as they promised me 1 week in may and 1 in Oct. Just got to wait and see if the payment goes into our account in a timely manner. Will keep you all informeed. Cheers. Paul.
P.S. May have to change my name to magicinRome now.
