Blimey Janice,
Just signed on to read today's light hearted banter and these two post of yours have brought a lump to my throat.

Jeansis
thought 'the race' was smack on, reminded me of Forest Gump as a lad, which still chokes me everytime i see it.
Not so keen on the 'extra degree' , i realise extra effort can produce ultimate results, if you are lucky enough to be that close to the front? I ran the london marathon last year, and thought who are the real winners?, the super fit athletes at the front or the blind and disabled runners at the back slogging it out in great discomfort for 6 or 7 hours, to raise money for those even less fortunate than themselves.

Janice - thanks for these links. I work with sixth form students and I am always on the look out for inspirational ideas for assemblies etc. I think 212 degrees is perfect for them just before they go off for study leave!!!! I will be using it at their awards assembly next week I think!
Thanks again This message was last edited by MANSOURS on 3/23/2007.
