Polycystic Ovaries what is it ?
Well in a nut shell it is horrible !
Okay that doesn't tell you anything, this is my non medical take on what it is !
Basically cysts (an abnormal character containing fluid) forms on the Ovaries, in the case of Polycystic Ovaries it is actually immature cysts. Remember I am no doctor, just someone who is sharing my experience, so any doubts about it speak to a medical expert, however if you send me a message I will pass on any information I have !
What you may be experiencing :
- irregular periods
- infertility
- weight issues
- excess hair growth
- skin issues
- pain
None of which, you will have to agree are very pleasant, however just because you have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries or think you may have it, does not mean you will have all these symptoms. As you will see from my story !
This is what has happened to me and my story, like yours it is unique, but what you will see is that most of the symptoms I have never had !
I couldn't work out what was wrong with me, I was in so much pain that I could not think straight !
I was trying to look after two Babies and run a business from home and yet I couldn't move off the sofa the pain was that intense !
Thankfully my Mum was a rock and came to help with my girls at that point they were six months old and twenty two months old, I just couldn't cope, not with them but the pain.
After numerous trips to the doctors, they where at loss as to what was wrong with me and huge amount of very horrible tests, they worked it out !
Why did it take so long, because my symptoms didn't flag up Polycystic Ovaries. I had two young Babies, I was not over weight, I had regular periods, I had no hair growth issues, no acne !
In fact the only symptoms I had was a skin problem called psoriasis that I had had for the last ten years and all this pain !
The doctor phoned me to tell me the good news ! I didn't know what it was, I had never heard of it before, in fact I had to get her to spell it to me, so I could look it up !
She then kindly informed me I had two choices
1) have an operation every two years for the rest of my life to remove the cysts
2) take really strong pain killers for the rest of my life (so strong, I wouldn't know if
I was Arthur or Martha)
I thanked her and got straight on the net to find out if these really where my only options and what the hell was wrong with me.
I found an amazing website, which I now wish I could give you a link too, but at that time, didn't cross my mind to keep it ! Duh !
What I found was that lots of people had had huge success healing or at least easing the symptoms themselves, ok how did they do it !
Figured anything was worth a shot in the dark and it turned out to be life transforming, that was over eight years ago and to date I have had no operations, taken no pain killers (well for this anyway!) and I saw a change almost straight away and was pain free in just three weeks ! Amazing !
What did I find out :
Diet plays a huge role, supplements work !
I already knew about a company called Neways that did supplements I already knew they were good, as I had found when taking their vitamin and mineral supplement (maximol) I had more energy and with two babies, you need all the energy you can get !
When I looked at list of vitamins and minerals that the website recommended, they were all in Maximol (the supplement I was already taking). the only thing I wasn't taking was Omega oil supplements.
What did I do ?
I ordered an Omega supplement called EFA Recovery Plus (a supplement that is a balance of both omega 3 and 6).
Just by doing that has kept me pain free for all these years, amazing !
