Ending a Business in Spain

Thank you for accepting my challenge. 

I really did not expect that as I thought you were "ambulance chasing" as they say somewhere!

Please accept my apologies for the negative connotations I implied.

I have already started proceedings with another solicitor (one who I found for myself) and no fees have been discussed! I have asked but I think guilt may be playing a part as the solicitor told me all of the necessary permissions were in place.

You can be sure that I will be in touch if anything should happen to upset my current arrangements.

I just want to tell all the buyers I understand them, but also ask you not make general from particular cases.

Where there's easy money, there's dishnoest people. And real estate has been a very profitable business to make lots of money in very short times.

Both developers and agents advised people to use some lawyers they knew and, sometimes, these lawyers, because of the big business they had from them, have not been meticulous enough, as they felt somehow obblied with the people giving them so much to earn.

And it's been a "backs scratching game": the lawyer had the clients, the agent had his commission, and the developer a 30% of the price.

I think that the point now is to get solutions, and get advised by serious and INDEPENDENT professionals.

And I agree my colleague Michael Davies about using legal mechanisms and no to let B/G's to elapse.

I understand you are very disappointed but, honestly, I think you'll find independent professionals that will make you get your confidence back.

The channel 4 thing seams to have gone dead - has any one heard anything about if it is likely to go ahead?

I havent heard anything from Channel 4 - I think we will have to be patient.   BBC and ITV have both had details as well but that was ages ago now.  

If they want to make a good document, it'll take some time.

I think it's a matter of deep investigation.
