Has anyone on Thalassa become totally legal yet and been to the Town Hall to pay their IBI and get themselves on the padron? If so, is it possible to post a step by step instruction on how to do it please? i.e. What department to go to, any specific days/ times, what documentation is required, etc.

Many thanks

Mark

Mark,

I bet there are many people trying to answer these questions and I for one am waiting with baited breathe for the answer!  When last out at the beginning of the month I tried to do some digging but did not get very far.  I found people in other complexes who had been resident for a couple of years and still not paid any dues.  I was told to wait until something came through the post!

There is a Spanish speaking member on the main forum that as offered to go to the various departments with me at the Town Hall to register. It will probably entail a day of the holiday to complete as the IBI apparently has to be paid in cash, no other means, and tere is a queue.  Also, signing up for IBI by direct debit for te future means a 5% discount and no more queues. The rubbish queue is about 1 hour and again can be paid by direct debit. It's more the documentation that needs to be taen that is the concern. I would hate to queue for hours only to find I haven't got the right stuff.

I realise I could wait to pay until asked, but I don't really want to suddenly find myself landed with a uge bill.
