Anyone with a useful contact for an air conditioning engineer at all please? The first time it has needed to be used in anger (i.e. on the cold setting as opposed to the heat cycle) and all it does is blow hot air (a bit like some of the companies I could mention ). I don't really have the time to take it up with Key Mare as we have guests occupying as of this afternoon and I can't be doing with their delaying tactics. I have emailed Gema and Dave is going to badger them on Monday for a fix. I am thinking though it is better to have the work done and bill them I think.

What I think has happened is that Resort was built for 12 months prior to our purchase. If the system is similar to car air conditioning it could be that Key Mare did not ensure that the coolant levels were correct prior to completion and that there is not enough for the unti to work correctly. Hopefully it could just be a case of having the system re- gassed (or whatever they do to domestic units).

The thing that makes it worse is that the Wife was out there last week with her Mum and knew it wasn't working properly. Did she do anything about it? Like hell she did, until she had come back and it was too late .

I am assuming that you have given Mark the details that I sent you last week? 

Mark, the guy that sorted mine out was excellent. He found all sorts wrong with the system, including some taht were dangerous. Like you, I couldn't face further contact with KM on this issue.

I know I should but I just can't face another row with them.

I am just happy knowing that the dangerous faults have been rectified & that the system is functioning properly.

Marcus, checked over the system back in May & provided me with a very detailed report with photos to show what he was talking about. Then after the work was completed, I had more phots & confirmation of what work he had done.

Unlike most things Spain, Marcus keeps in touch every step of the way.

I hope he manages to sort out your problem.

Has anyone in a duplex thought about putting more air conditioning in the other bedrooms? I want to, but I am not sure if it can all run off the same system or if I need a seperate system for this. Any ideas?

Why don't you contact Marcus? I am sure that he woould be able to confirm whether it can be done on the existing system.

It would seem that our Spanish guests were more than efficient at getting the air con to work, they even showed Dave while he was having a drink with them. I think we will still get Marcus to give it a service though.

Although, I have had to buy industrial sized supplies of tea bags.
