CONDADO UPDATE 24/09/2008

HI ALL

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW UPDATES AS OF THIS MORNING WERE THAT

1. TV/PHONES/INTERNET SHOULD BE READY FOR NOVEMBER @ 400 EURO ONE OFF PAYMENT FOR TV, AND 32 EURO MONTHLY FOR INTERNET ALTHOUGH THEY ARE NOT SURE WHAT SPEED ETC... THAT IS FOR - TELEPHONE CHARGES ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS MOMENT

2. LOTS OF ACTIVITY AND WORK BEING CARRIED OUT AT THE FORO SITE AGAIN SO THINGS ARE MOVING ON AT A REASONABLE PACE.

i WILL UPDATE AS AND WHEN I GET MORE INFO FROM SNAGGING / CUSTOMER SERVICES CENTRE

When was the Foro due to be ready i.e. a supermarket,  awatering hole?  Was it by Christmas?
Will it be ready for New Years Big Pink Bang Party?? 

What's the weather doing over there at the moment?  Is it still in the 30's?  Hope it will last through to October .

I guessed something was happening with the TV/phones, as the telecoms guys were on site yesterday in Jardin 5. Just as as we were locking up to come home they were shouting up the steps to me  ' TV ok, telefono ok ?'.   All I could do was be honest and say 'No TV, no telefono' !.  We haven't got a TV yet and no phone plugged in.

By TV, do they mean English TV i.e. BBC & ITV for the one off fee or just Spanish....................

Fingers and toes crossed we get the lot for 400 Euros, one off payment, can't see it though.

Well they said, Spanish, French, Dutch, English, German and some more so I presume that the 400 euro they quoted is for the lot, will try and find out more ASAP..... Foro isnt due for 18 mths they said in August but then its been heard that they need it up as soon as poss due to 100 million complaints ( ok maybe not that many) about no facilities.......... If they build the Foro as quick as they built jardines then we should have it by May ( random calculation)

!8 months for the Foro sounds a long time with so many apartments completed by Xmas  - is it definitely the Foro you are on about or the Oasis which sounds more likely!

Hope to see you soon we are in Benidorm next week, NIE Wednesday followed by quick tour round Condado with Parador rep so won't have much freedom.

Complete on 28th and hopefully move in 29th if the furniture arrives!

Yes they said back in August but they also told me it would be 6-12 mths for tv etc now they tell me Nov so dont think that peter & paul are communicating that well so to speak but with Polaris who knows - I think we will see foro in 6 mths or so....... wait and see is all we can do but will keep my beady eyes on site and update.

El Foro is to be the shared town centre for Jardines and Los Naranjos rather than each having its own town centre as was originally planned

We were over earlier this month and ground has been cleared and a sign put up saying 'El Foro Town Centre - Coming Soon'. This area is at the end of the Penthouses towards Jardines.

Oasis is the big retail and leisure complex which will eventually be open to the public. Location is next to the lake and I understand a large number of the outlets have been leased by 3rd party companies i.e not Polaris
