The Town Hall at Mazarrón hold guarantees that will pay to finish MCC (although they can not be exercised until 2011), so, at least, MCC will be finished - on day.

My thoughts for what it is worth is that huma will not pay up even though individuals are successfull through the courts but seem to get nowhere,,, a joint action between all claimants through 1 legal party to jointly cease humas assets namely ,Oasis tabernas ? and jointly own tabernas along with people that have transfered or paid deposits could be a way forward!
A joint legal effort to cease major assets seams to be the only option"? thoughts and comments out there??

It appears that the electricity situation may be resolved at MCC by the Residents taking over the power charges - but the residents will be called on to pay for the power now and installation of a new meter. Hopefully they will move towards a main supply in the near future - but that may depend on Habitation Certificates and Huma finishing roads and infrastructure upgrade for the power.
In a communication to the Residents - it seems to state clearly that Huma have said they had run out of funds to provide the generators and fuel to run them.
It appears Huma are saying that funds are low and the fact they got rid of some staff recently - does not go well for options at OTCC - which I believe has stopped - unless anyone knows different. It seems Huma are looking for a new partner to continue OTCC - so I am not sure where OTCC goes now or how anyone is going to get their money back for ACC - with Court action or Court judgements!

HI John
Your post contained the words "installation of a new meter".
This took me back years to when I was a tenant and my landlord set the rate at the meter.
Stick with me - I think MCC are in a great position vis a vis Huma.
Presumably Huma still have offices at MCC and will use electricity supplied by the residents. If it is legal, can the residents charge a commercial rate to Huma which would be significantly different (i.e. more) than the standard domestic tarif for the residents?
Now this might be the final nail in Huma's coffin but given that it seems that they are having a laugh with us (apparently losing court actions and still not paying out) , at least someone else can have some fun at their expense? It might also bring matters to a swift conclusion and put a lot of people out of their misery even if it means they lose (as I will) tens of thousands of whatever currency you care to mention!
;-)

MCC HQ and the area in which it is housed has a Habitation Certificate and so has mains electricity along with the rseidents there - known as Phase 1.
It is the rest of the site that was dependant on Huma for generators. Eventually it is hoped that they can have mains electricity too before a Habitation Certificate. The residents are taking over the generators and fuel.
I doubt Huma will ever put themselves in a situation where residents could screw them!
Check your shirt if ever you leave Huma's office!

Huma, ( 'Senor Subiela & Family), are a bunch of gangsters! They always seem to be one step ahead of us with their cons. People living their have since found out that the water company 'Aquagest', are in with Huma, so guess where the money for the water bills are going, and why they are so high! That guy is not broke, just bent as a 'nine bob note'.

Hi
We are owners at MCC and our advice to you is clear 'don't be dragged into the nightmare'. Unless of course you don't mind paying overpriced electric & overpriced water. Water cuts all summer, sometimes for days at a time. When there isnt water cuts during the summer you have restricted water supply ie, you only get water between certain times of the day. It reminds us of a 2nd world country. Nowhere else in the region suffer like the residents of MCC.
We wished we hadn't bought there. We have been conned, its a depressing place. People can't afford to keep their homes warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
If you buy at MCC make sure its one with Iberdrola connection and a habitation certificate.
It is going to be years before that place is anything like it should have been years ago. All the owners have paid well over the top for homes on a dead development.

So who built (and has never finished) MCC ?
How many years ago did they start the project ?
Why has noone in authority (like the EU for example) ever brought them to task about the state of MCC and the state of ACC and the state of OTC ?
Oh, and how many UN SOLD new build properties are there in Spain ? Wonder why ?
Get a grip please...............

Its all over spain, try Polaris world, camposol, trampolin hills, Mojon hills and thats just in the Murcia region, the only sure way to safeguard your money and piece of mind is to not buy in Spain. Regardless of what bob and jaq say mcc is actually not as bad as some, not that thats a recommendation

£48,000 ! Ouch - feel sorry for those who transfered across from ACC a couple of years ago - I think they would have paid more than that for the balance. They have lost twice. Mind you so have I - once to HUMA re ACC and once to solicitors in legal costs against HUMA.

Folks, don't feel sorry for me and others who transferred from ACC to MCC, I made my choice and assessed the risks and frankly very happy with my choice. I don't have the powers of hindsight, who saw this world recession coming. The property market in Spain & the UK is going to take a long time to recover. The value of my UK property has gone down and so has my spanish home, thats life - the property good times are over for now. However if one can put Huma to one side a PRIVATE property purchase at MCC ( or the Murcia area for that fact) represents good value for money at the moment. I say at the moment, these very low priced bargains will not be around to long in my opionion.... we have .....a new excellent motorway infrastructure in the area, two airports; Alicante & San Javier and very soon Corvera airport, Paramount theme park to start building at the end of the year and as for MCC the Community of Owners are in control led by a team of excellent residents.
I hope you all succeed, especially getting justice from Huma but there only seems one winner here...the lawyers
Michael.

For anyone that still wants to come and live in the Mazarron district of Murcia DO NOT be put off MCC, the owners now control what happens here and gradually are making it the place it should be.
We have just taken receipt of more than a Million Euros as part of a court case award against HUma and with this money MCC will be finished, we have already connecded all but a 130 homes to Iberdrola, we are about to sign a contract to complete the water infrastructure and thus eliminate the water problems that afflict us every summer.
The roads will be completed and the greena areas will not be desertlike for too much longer, I doubt we will ever have a golf course but the probability is that it would be a financial nightmare anyway.
We are having to do it ourselves but better that than just sit back and feel sorry for ourselves, the residents attitude has changed markedly, gardening is taking place all over the site in done by individudals and groups.
MCC is worth a visit I assure you but be careful and do not buy properties from HUma ALL of which are mortgaged or embargoed.
Barry.
