I think the idea of lighting on the buggy track is a good one, but I certainly would not want netting putting up spoilling my view of the course. Where this has been done on many Polaris resorts it looks a real eyesore, in my opinion.

I hear you Mike and I guess its a case of finding a solution that meets the consensus. I would like to repeat my request for phase 3x owners contact details to create a lobby group on this matter.
I have just 3 replys so far, we need more!!

we have 24 names now and have submitted some suggestions via Housing Comunidades. If you want to be added to the list PM me as instructed below.
Ive received some PM's from golfers/ phase 1/11 people who have some concerns. We are not suggesting everyone in phase 3 goes charging across the golf course when ever we feel like it. We are looking for a compromise that fulfills the commitments we where given when buying our propertys but at the same time doesnt affect golfers or the look of the course.
This can be achieved and the support of everyone in Roda would be appreciated.

can i ask what you were told when you bought on phase 3 ?
as i remember when buying on phase 2 our location was chosen with access to clubhouse in mind and i seem to remember thinking that access from phase 3 would be a problem even back then in 2005.
im sure they could maybe put lights on path for night time but im also sure that most peole - on other phases at least - would be against using the course as access during day.
safety is the main reason but it would also be terrible to have huge nets up within course.

When we bought on phase 3 we were not told that access to any of the facilities or the exit would be a problem. we were told that a shuttle bus service would be available for all residents into Los Alcazares from all areas within Roda.

We were concerned about the distance from the clubhouse/facilities when we looked at buying in Phase 3 - we repeatedly asked for Calidona to clarify the distance but they couldn't / wouldn't clarify. They did, however - albeit verbally - repeatedly assure us that it wouldn't be a problem as there would be a short-cut and/or a shuttle bus around the complex.
We would love to find a solution to this problem...without ruining the course or anyone's enjoyment of their golf. Calidona reps made the promises - we're now just trying to find a way to get them to deliver.

Here's a good one.
we were even told by Celia (used to be in Customer Services) that there would be a small bar built in the corner by phase 3B just so phase 3 owners wouldn't have to walk too far to get a drink.
I seem to think a pinch of salt sprang to mind.

I agree with Arky25 plus noise levels at night will be a huge issue.
We bought a villa for frontline golf and had we wanted nets etc we could have bought elsewhere other than Roda.
We also bought here so we have somewhere to come and totally relax .
Another reason we bought a villa was for privacy and the fantastic view of a beautiful golf course. No nets.
As I understand it the course is private and the land fronting onto the course is owned by the property owners therefore to be suggesting a right of way past my property is something which I will challenge.
People coming home at night with a few drinks in them and the noise etc having had a good night out in the clubhouse, what will the lobby group suggest for the people they will disturb every night .
It will be a huge problem for the properties they stagger past at 2 in the morning every morning.
At the time we bought we asked the question also about access to the clubhouse via the course and we were told it was not allowed.

We are seeking a logical solution that takes everyones position into consideration. People are getting ahead of themselves, nothing specific has been discussed yet with Roda.
Access could be provided that would have little affect on golfers or Villa owners. Wait until you have the facts and then present your views. But have considerstion for the 100's of owners that where told access would be provided. We havent all made this up, we where all told the same thing.
The comment about people staggering home and causing lots of noise, is frankly nonsense. The clubhouse doesnt even stay open that late, Roda isnt that type of resort - its full of golfers and families. Roda is full of apartments,Townhouses and Villa's that has lots of people walking past lots of propertys all over the resort.
Finally I would advise all phase 3 owners to converse privately on this matter via the communication I have setup. I encourage more of you to send me your contact details.

Can I be in your gang Ray or are you the only person allowed to express your views before the facts or maybe you are in charge of facts.
Last summer the clubhouse was open late many nights well into the small hours of the morning and I would almost bet money that you are most likely in a penthouse so therefore this silly little issue which you say on behalf of 100s of people ' is frankly nonsense' will effect you.
If you are in a ground floor forgive me.
If not please do not talk down to me.

NIMBY is it Villa 3
I for one will walking from the club house to my apartment on Phase 3 via the golf course, as i have done for the past 6 months.
It is also possible to get from the course to the public walkway on phase 3 with out walking past any villa, especially yours Villa 3. If you wanted something so private why didn't you get a nice secluded villa elsewhere. But if you're happy with 500 golfers walking past your living room every day then each to their own.
I might even ask Roda if they can put fences up as i don't really want to see people walking about in their villas and people sunbathing whilst i'm trying to play golf.

Firstly, as a villa owner, I would like to say that I support the efforts of Rayoconnor for seeking possible alternatives to a problem which affects all of phase 3. The ideas put forward have been great and it has been made very clear that they are open to discussion and negotiation. We do not get anywhere without people like Rayoconnor who are prepared to actually make a stand, represent others and take action rather than just make a lot of individual noise on a forum for their own personal satisfaction.
Secondly, we are quite social villa owners and would welcome the opportunity of being able to stagger back from the club house, down a well-lit buggy path at night and promise not to make too much noise at all, that is until we reach villa 3! We think your comments were a bit over the top, as you say we can all express our views, but surely there are nicer ways to do it.
