polar air air conditioning are not moving anywhere

i have been a customer of gary for three years and he has always looked after my air con.i was disturbed to find out that someone is playing dirty tricks with his business.. Recently they
have had several cancellations which they found very strange, Gary has since
been told from prospective customers that they have been told that Polar Air
is moving to the Costa Del Sol these people have been told this by one of
the key holders who is working with another air con company, they  know who
they are but are not going to be silly enough to mention their names.  As
you know these are hard times for everyone and a bit of competion is not a
bad thing but when it comes to using dirty tricks to get a job we obviously
have to do something about it.  Gary always has and still does work very
hard on his business as is not going anywhere and he is building the
business up for the future of his  son.
if anyone has had another company contact them with misleading information to get garys business can you send me a pm please so i can build a report to send to eye on spain

I am shocked at the information you have provided, if correct this sort of dirty tricks is disgusting. Gary installed our air conditioning, I used him after reading numerous recommendations from members on the EOS forum, he did an excellent neat and tidy job for us and I found him and his mate to be both friendly and professional. I like you have no connection with nor receive any referral fees from Gary or polaraircostablanca.com, but I have been very happy to recommend him since he installed our air Conditioning.

I would recommend you inform Justin and the EOS team now of you suspicions as he has the ability to look at all post made by the person you suspect and can see if he need to take any action.

I would also recommend if anyone else has been given this kind of malicious and misleading information about Gary they should also directly complain about the person to EOS. We don’t need these sorts of people on the forum.

Gary from Polarair is not the only one to fall foul to dirty tricks there have been a few incidents.  Its about time these people grew up and accepted responsibility for their lack of business accumen,  they have to stop picking on the people who work hard to build good reputations through shear hard work and realise that they too can be successful if they put in the effort.  I would certainly recommend Gary anytime with absolute no hesitation and Gary will be getting more work from us as we hope he will be responsible for  our yearly maintenance check on our aircon.  If we find out who is responsible maybe we should turn the tables on them and see how they like it

Gary did my Air Conditioning too! Excellent Job at an amazing Price! Workmanship was first class! Again, nothing in this for me, just wanted people to know this is the guy to use!

we used gary with the advice of others on the forum, and found his service and products to be first class, he even waited for my mother to go a few days after installation for his payment, very trustworthy guy,  the person spreading this rubbish could probably learn from gary and polariar, that good service breeds word of mouth, leading to more business, NOT TELLING LIES,

Based on what George has said, I think the person needs to be named and shamed on the forum. If George is saying it is coming from a key holder, I would certainly want to know who this person is as I wouldn't be comfortable with this type of person looking after my keys and appartment.

I too had heard that Gary was leaving the area & was going to live in the costas, However as I was actually speaking to him a little over 2 weeks ago outside the " Surgery " & have just spoken to him on the telephone. I can say He is deffinatly NOT moving.

Jan, how could you think people think it's you when George said a keyholder had spread the rumour?  I wouldn't take too much notice, whoever it is knows it's them and I think Gary has enough satisfied customers on here to look after his interests.  His is one other name that I have not heard anything bad about.  Same as everyone else, he did an excellent job for us on both apartments, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I would certainly not be happy with a keyholder employing dirty tricks like this. They could not be trusted for anything in my view.

Just want to add my voice to the chorus of support for Gary, first class guy, did a first class job for me - hopefully all of the positive comment on this thread will more than offset any silly business!

George - I understand why you've started a thread to say Gary is a good guy based on your experience and it's good that others have supported this but don't know if I'm missing something here - are you saying that someone is spamming on EOS to try and take business fom Polarair?  Why would you need to 'compile' a report when you or Gary could just contact EOS direct?

Just seems to be stirring up a hornets nest if you are alluding to someone (and some could saying casting doubt on all keyholders who use this forum) when all you or Gary really needed to do was make the point that he is not going anywhere & does a good job.

Recently we had a thread slagging off another person, and now this.  I dont believe threads like this are helpful to anyone, including the people the thread intends to support.  As regards to "Name and shame" them.  Based on what?  If you live about 1000 miles or more away (not you GeorgeEH)  what  "Physical evidence" do you have?  Whilst I admire peoples Loyalty and good intentions, should this not remain a private business matter.  Should Gary not write to this person detailing exactly what he was told by whom and when.  I say write because I htink emotions will be running high and a telephone conversation or a face to face may get too emotive.  A letter gives time for everyone to calm down.  You may also find that what was originally said has been distorted un-intentionally as its moved along the chain.  I'm sure lots of you will remeber the tale of the troops in the trench during the first world war.  When the commander made the decision to advance to defeat the enemy.  To do it he required reinforcements, so the word was passed along the trenches.  By the time it reached its destination (in pre-decimal days) it was "Send 3 and 4 pence were going to a dance."

There are lots of people out there who have either started, or taken the opportunity to expand on their already existing businesses on CdA.   Like the rest of us they probably work hard to keep the wolf from the door, and provide for their families.  Look if someone fitted your lights for example, and their ladder smashed a window which they did not repair.  Also the lights did not work, and they left a mess everywhere, then yes get on here and tell us about it.  But he said, we said, they said!!!   I'm sorry but I dont believe thats in keeping with the spirit of the forum.  Not when peoples livelehoods can depend on such comments.

Gary has enough good recommendations on this web-site from people who've employed him,  that that in itself provides good  "Physical evidence"  of his workmanship. 

I hope this is the last reply to this thread.  I hope Gary and whoever can resolve their differences amicably, and that it was just a mis-understanding.  Lets all move on and stop throwing petrol on the fire.

Lets get back to the good old days when it was a laugh on here every day.  Tete a Tete with the Golden buggy girls.  Shampers photo competitions and football.

Well said Golfinjim.  I just hope Gary doesn't think there is no point in working on Condado due to the negative comments because we want to go with him as he was so highly recommended.  He should 'wipe the dust off his feet' and ignore these comments.

Although I agree the point has now been made, I disagree that the forum is not a suitable place for this information. I think the information given by George at the start was very much in keeping with the forum, he gave the forum members the factual information he had, and although he had said a key holder was promoting the misleading information, he has rightly not said who the key holder is, just gave the warning to all to be aware that if they are given this information that it isn’t true and that if they are to please let him know. He hasn’t got into any banter on the issue just given the information and left it at that.

As is the nature of the forums others have had their say on the issue, which is what the forum is all about, providing their view and messages of support. Again without any arguments taking place. As long as it ends at that and doesn’t go in the direction of the other thred which has been alluded to and become personal and abusive, then I would say this is suitable information for the forum.

thanks for all your comments.the reason i put the note on here is alot of people on condado read this site.the person spreading the bad rumour didnt do it on eos to my knowledge but by word of mouth.i am sorry if the information i gave didnt make this clear.anyway lets put it to bed and ill let you all know when gary informs me things are back to normal.

Just had Gary back to our apartment two weeks ago when we were over to put the circuit breaker in now that we are on official electric supply. Did a neat & tidy job as usual and says he is still busy. Biggest problem he has at the moment is the pre-installations by Polaris sub-contractor that are piped or wired incorrectly which means wasted mobilisations for him and re-visits once it has been put right. He has to wait at the apartment until an independant surveyor turns up to verify that the pre-installation is wrong. All this taking time that he would be working and then moving on to another job.
