Which air-con??

Hi all,John de toot back for more.

I have looked at all the threads about which air-con installer etc,but what is the best choice for a 2 bedroom??

I don't want to pay too much for a system which is too much for a small apartment,but neither do I want to buy now and regret not going for something better.

I've read the polarair info re multi-split/inverter etc and the single split seems a bit cheaper and more efficient for my needs.

Anyone out there advise about the system make and model they have bought and if it is adequate??

We too have a two bed & used Pola air. We also had the panasonic multisplit having "sampled it "when staying in another apartment in January

The nights as I am sure I do not have to tell you, in January, were very cold & the rooms warmed up so quickly. It was great.

Dont know if you are warm or cold blooded but with temperature control, which I presume is with all units you  find the temperature to suit your needs

& the changes are very quick which is great

Strangly I have been speaking to Gary only a short while ago.

Gary & his team are very efficient so I know you wont go wrong 6y using him

I'm using Polarair as well, he's fitting it in our 2 bed next week. Gary is very helpful, he called me back the next day after I submitted my air-con needs via the polaraircostablanco.com website & answered all my questions.

He's got a special price on all installations in April & May. I'm having the Daitsu A energy - 3 compressors outside & 3 inside.

At least if 1 breaks down I'll still have 2 others to use. N.Ireland wisdom from a Glenravel man, near Ballymena.

We used Debonair and found them really good.  We dealt with Zane and he was very helpful.  Would recommend!  Email me if you want the email address.

Just talked to Gary and got the Daitsu "a" rated single split for 1499,apparently it was 1799.

He said  he's been undercut by someone and had to drop the price.

He says adequate for a 2 bed.

Had Gary from Polarair install Panasonic air con a week ago, 'Fantastic', polite, on time and generally a good job all round.

Some rumours going around about him at the moment, a bit of naughtiness going on from competitors I think!!!

You will have no problems with him I am sure.

It could be that he is very busy at the moment.

Early in the year everyone wanted their aircon because they were going over during the COLD months

It is now possible that there are others who need the aircon installing prior to the HOT months

Re the earlier post.

I emailed Gary and he rang me inside 5 minutes,spooky.

He is also fitting my system on the 30th April,I only contacted him 2 days ago.

We have just got back from Condado, Gary from Polariar has just fitted our Aircon for us, which he did in our absence the week before we arrived, we are really pleased with the aircon system he has installed for us, and the service provided was excellent..  We would definitely recommend Gary, he has 10 years of experience in supplying and fitting aircon systems in Spain, we all know there is no substitue for experience.  As for him moving away, he told us personally that some rumours had been going around about him moving away, but he confirmed to us, that he is DEFINITELY going nowhere. I think they have had a few problems with their email, if  you have no response to your email, maybe you could give him a call, they always answer the phone.

Has anybody used a company called Chill Out? If so, would you recommend and what system did you go for? We have a 2 bed and are looking at all the possibilities at the moment. Thanks for all the advice below, really helpful. Will definitely contact Polarair and others recommended too.

I used Polarair and was very happy and would recommend without hesitation however numerous people have also recommended Chill Out also so I would recommend obtaining a quote from both and chatting to them also and then making your decision, at the end of the day its who you are comfortable with. As I said as far as recommendations on the forum go they both seem reputable. My personal vote go with Polarair but its horses for courses.

We used Chillout and have no complaints. They are extremely professional and helpful. I agree that the best thing to do is meet up with both companies and make your own decision.
