community charge ?

Hi there! I've had an email regarding the community charge and I'm a little confused. Will the 2008 charge be backdated to when we bought our apartment and taken out by D/D in one amount? Also will the 2009 charge be taken every 3 months? Or do we have the choice of monthly?

Also, I've just  checked  my statements and keep finding two debits for Iberdrola and Urbaser does anyone know the English translation for these two words ?

hi Jaci,

When agreed the plan was that the 2009 charges would be three monthly, so Jan/Feb/Mar would be taken in March Apr/May/Jun in June etc. The 2008 backchanges, from you completion date, would be taken in the months in between.  But as the budgets have not yet been agreed I don't think that anyone has had thier charges taken.

Iberdola and Urbaser are the Electric and water companies.

i have just recieved my charges and iam worried, will these charges go up when we get telephone and internet and if not does that mean that it is included in the cost which them means why are we paying the full amount when some of the major extras that we were promised at the time of purchase are still not avaliable. Also iam not sure if anyone else had problems when taking delievery of there property if so is the time spent snagging included

We've also received notification of the community charges and told payment for Jan - Mar 2009 will be taken in the 'coming days'. We've got a 2 bed in Jardin 13 and have been told 98.88 EUR a month will be taken for this period. RPM also state that they are working to reduce the quotas by 25%.

Am pleased that they seem to have reduced the backdated charges for 2008 though. From reading about commnunity fees at other Polaris resorts we always expected to have the fees backdated so this reduction is a plus for us...

"The mentioned quotas do not correspond to the exercise (fiscal year) 2008. In this period the expenses are lower, because most of the services were not working. The amount of the share owners of the community of owners in 2008 is:

Ground Floor: 29 euros/ month.

First Floor: 24.25 euros /month.

The date of payment of 2008 will be agreed in the Next Meeting."
