Welcome to the Don Juan Forum Lee.
I sympathise with your predicament but like I said, we, and many others have had good service from them.
I am sure you will get things sorted.
Good luck

I got an email from a good friend notifying me about this post. What else can I say that there are two sides to every story and that it doesn´t only harm us, but also the people who use our services. They know themselves exactly what we do for them but it will scare off potential renters so it´s more damaging to them than to us.
We could spill the beans and discuss details but all it would do is harm our clients even more. So we won´t.
"to warn people who are currently contemplating using this company, you do so at your own risk" is however sound advise. Never do things without informing yourself first, read the actual contracts, ask for references, etc. We have all these available as we fully understand the need to do things properly and in writing with mutual clear and binding stipulations. You can´t go wrong if you follow that rule.
If it has to come to a court case we have full confidence in the outcome but I rather not discuss anything about it in public. It wouldn´t help us, nor the poster, nor our satisfied clients. It ruins businesses and what people sometimes forget is that a negative review of a restaurant on a hugely popular forum means a restaurant closes, old clients are standing for a closed door and staff is without job. That´s the impact of forums unfortunately. We are not a wellknown restaurant but search engines know how to find everything so we will forever be associated with this post.
Positive reviews like the one of SRS who did this even without our knowledge will NOT be picked up. So I just give up and I would suggest to the poster to reconsider as it won´t do a court case (?) -which seems completely unnecessary- any good.

Primavera in Los Boliches is fantastic
El Rio in Los Boliches is fab, and now also has an amazing tapas bar opposite
La Carihuela Chica in Los Boliches on the seafront is great
La Para in Los Boliches, opposite El Bistro by the train station, is buzzing and does great tapas
Plus loads of other places too numerous to mention.
Los Boliches is the place to eat as far as I'm concerned - you don't ever have to to anywhere else for good food! (Although Aroma in Fuengirola is great, as is Nirvana Indian restaurant in Benalmadena - I could go on and on!)
Deb
PS - To anyone who has ever visited Tom's Irish Bar in Los Boliches and enjoyed Liz's hospitality, just to let you know that, very sadly, she passed away on Tuesday. She will be missed.

Yes, I've heard good things about the Los Pacos takeaway too - have pondered over the menu many times, but never actually got round to ordering anything.
Must give it a try.
Thanks to mattresscleaning for the kick in the backside I've been waiting for!

Last time we went for dinner at Don Jesus, near the big supermercado in Los Boliches .(same street)
The food was great, you will have to reserve, because it's a busy restaurant.
Not expensive, when you choose for the menu (more choices). (15 euros)

Restaurant Dominique´s
The Fuengirola chapter of the biggest wine-tasting organization in the world Munskänkarna `the mouth tasters´ with more than 20.000 members held it´s Annual Meeting at the restaurant Dominique´s on the Paseo Maritimo one block from Plaza San Rafael.
The restaurant was a pleasant surprise to me with the friendly atmosphere, menu pleasing all, both children and adults at reasonable prices.
The restaurant seats 80 people inside and 100 outside.
I recommend the restaurant Dominique´s and suggest it would be considered as an alternative for our next comunidad meeting either Annual or Extra and naturally anybody family who´s going for a pleasant meal.

Hello,
We are coming over on the 10th and it is my wife's 50th birthday on the 11th.
(Never thought I'd be married to a 50 year old woman!)
Along with my mother in law I was hoping to take her to somewhere a "bit special" for a meal.
As I will be hiring a car location will not be a problem. Is El Higueron any good?
Is there somewhere that fits the "bit special" bill? After donkey's years of coming over to Torreblanca/Carvajal/Los Boliches we have done the majority of the Paseo/coast restaurants but not having a car not ventured inland.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

At El Higueron the suckling legs/shoulders of lamb/pork are excellent you also get amazing views from inside or the outside terrace. 3 courses with drinks approx 50-75 euro per head, depending on what wines you choose. The starters and deserts are also as impressive as the mains, the prawn and clam starter and cheese cake for afters is the best ive ever tasted. Table crockery, glasses , crisp white table cloths , typical fine dining and good for special occasions. I recommend booking in person and reserving your preferred table whilst your there.
PM me with your email if you want some pics
Regards Andy

An alternative to consider is Val Paraiso on the Mijas Road. Similar price range. No view but fantastic service and, depending on the night a singer 3 peice band or whatever to entertain you after you have eaten.
El Higueron is Spanish owned and has a mostly Spaninsh clientele. Val Paraiso is Italian owned and has a mostly non Spanish clientele. It is a matter of personal choice.
Have a look at www.restaurantevalparaiso.net

Hello Andy,
Thanks for the information on El Higueron.
We thoroughly enjoyed it. A great view and a superb table next to the window (the gales unnerved me a a bit though!).
The anchovy starter was superb, as was the rest. We will definately go there again.
Thanks again!

Hello neighbours,
Hope you are all fine.
Just had a great 3 course dinner at Casa de la Pizza at the boulevard next to hotel Angela. near carmen de virgen between los Boliches and Fuengirola. We had no idea the food was so cheap and good, also the rose de la casa was fine.
And for 8,95, in Holland the 1st course is even more expensive, so it was a bargain and perfect.
Hope to see you soon, here the weather is great,
Kind regards
Corrie

See "Spanish" restaurant below "Bodega El Tapeo Andaluz" which is a few 100m past the main cobbled square on the paseo at Los Boliches going in direction of Fuengirola.
They have a proper chef who does great Tapas all "fresh cooked" from scratch. Not cheap but also not expensive for what you get which is very nice. This is now on my favourites list aong with Los Marinos Jose in Carvajal and Los Enebros in Los Boliches.
