Hi TVR, Welcome to the forum.

As far as the information available on the forum, it appears that the Golf Suits along with a number of other areas of Condado is on hold due to the world financial situation and the fall off in sales for property in Spain and of course Condado. However if you are prepared and able to wait most people believe as soon as the economy improves PW will start building these properties, but it may well be another 18 months or so. This information isn’t based on any information I have, just my personal assessment of the situation. On the plus side Condado is every bit as good as it looked on the plans and is going to be a 5* resort, by not completing now you will not have to make your final payment whilst the exchange rate is so poor and hopefully it will be to your financial advantage when you do.

thanks phil for reply,spoke to PW today and the board is meeting up in couple months to review as to if they going to build them at all or put them on hold but couldnt say for how long.i dont think it correct they can keep your money 2years up to now and could be anothers 2 to 3 years before anything is built if at all!

PW are very good at telling people something will be decided or ready soon. PW customer services golden rule is tell the client anything to fob them off irrespective of if it’s the truth or not, which is a shame as people would be more tolerant of them if they would just show a little regard for its clients. As I said in my last post although it will be a disappointment that yours and other areas of the resort are not going ahead at the moment I am sure it eventually will and it will be worth the extra waiting time as the property’s and the resort is every bit as good as we had hoped even if it is going to take longer to reach its full potential. All that said PW under Spanish Contract and Consumer Law cannot just keep your deposit indefinitely without providing a realistic start time for the commencement of building your property. Maria de Castro who is a Lawyer on the Main EOS forum from Costaluz Lawyers who also advertise on this forum has given this advise regularly to people on the forum. PW would try to tell you cannot cancel your contract as it states you property will be ready 18 months after they start building it but again Maria has advised people this clause is in law abusive without a realistic start date being provided. You would probably require an independent lawyer to act for you to achieve a refund of your deposit but again in law you would also be entitled to loss of interest on the money. I am not suggesting you should go down the route of getting a refund as I believe the property and resort is worth waiting for, I am just stating this so you are aware of your rights under Spanish law.

thanks phil very helpfull im in limbo if they offered me something else i would be interested but its down to the extra funds,i know its going 2 be the dogs tangly bits 2 other freinds of mine got places there and are over the moon just depends how long i can wait for!!!!!!!!!!
