Hi,
We were there a few weeks ago. Head onto the A7, go past Murcia towards Alicante and then Benidorm. Terra Mitika is sign posted when you get to the Benidorm cut off on the motorway. Took us about 1.5hours with only a short stop for fuel. Great day ou but just check on-line the days it's open. When we went it was only open Friday-Sunday I think. We also arrived as planned just after 3pm, as it's about 1/3 less at this time and as it's open till 8pm we still had plenty time to enjoy ourselves.

Hi Ali
Terra Mitica is a theme park in Benidorm ie rollar coasters etc.........only know about cause I'm such a big kid I always try and find out about stuff like this when on holiday as in Ireland most of the time the best we can get is the travelling amusments where the (small) rides are held together with cat gut and chewing gum!! We went to Port Aventura in Salou (which seems to be similar) and had an absolute ball so am looking forward to going to Terra Mitica. One thing to note is that on the bigger rides there are usually height restrictions but I would think from looking at the web site there is still plenty for the smallies to do and see

Hi Olga,
Thanks for that, unfortunately I am the opposite to you I hate these places. We went to Clear Water in America and paid a visit to Disneyland and we both hated it and thanked God that we hadn't booked our fortnights holiday there. I just hated everything, the cheap food, the people who ran you over with their kids buggies and the fact that you have to wait to get on the rides which then made me sick is just a real turn off. But hope you all have a brill time when you visit but I'll be giving this one a miss.
P.s I loved these things when I was a kid, must be geting really old now.
PPs Thanks Cappielow if you hadn't told me I wouldn't have known, don't really follow footie not even my local team, prefer rugby, golf and tennis better standard of men and no fighting.

Hi Ali
If rollar coasters etc aint your thing if you have younger kids Terra Natura in Murcia might be something you'd all like. As far as I know it's sort of a cross between a mini safari park and zoo. Never been but have decided it's my mission (on behalf of the kids of course!!) to suss out all day trips that might be good. I am not a golf player like hubby so have been looking at other activities in the area and there seems to be plenty to do ie horse riding, go karting ....markets etc. I will be over in july and will report back on any especially good things I've, I mean the kids have enjoyed doing!!
Anyone else out there with ideas or recommendations on what to do or where to go it would be great to hear from you
Olga

We hadnt heard of this park and it sounds just the sort of place to be able to recommend to friends and family especially if its got options for adults too.

Hi
Went to Terra Natura just outside Murcia last time we were over with two 8 year olds and they loved it - its beside the water park (which was closed at Easter). Lovely park for younger kids, great bird show and my son got photo taken with huge owl. Turn off exit 136 just before heading into centre of Murcia City - sign posted on the motorway.
Can you let me know where the horse riding is near Condado, might be interested in that!
Thanks

we've been a few times. Terra Mitica I would rate as just about 'ok' but it's nowhere near as good as Port Aventura. As for the rides - if your kids are over 140cm there is plenty there but - warning - the rickety old roller coaster is one of the bumpiest we've ever done - to the point it's not that enjoyable !
the water rides are the best bit and suit kids of most sizes.
Aqulandia beside it is worth a visit.
Quite easy to get to - head up motorway toward Murcia, Benidorm - just be careful around Alicante as for some reason (competition ?) they stop signposting Benidorm, but it's quite straight forward - there is a toll road for a bit as well.
